Hi

I am a regular customer of SMC International and Dilip (and Puppy) know me from quite some time now. However, every time I go to the shop, Dilip charges Web site price + 4% VAT + 2% CC charge. :S

Doesn't the website price include VAT and CC charges. Also, being in Delhi, I don't require shipping either. So if at all the cost should be lesser for me. But in actuality, I always end up paying around 7-8% more than their website listed cost.

Can somebody clarify if the website price @ smcinternational.in includes those charges? If it does, then can SMC rep tell Dilip to include those while selling :P

Other than this I have a great experience with them and no complaints whatsoever. They are an awesome company and I love to deal with them. But this one point doesn't sound that nice, so if somebody could please sort this out, it would be even sweeter :D

aaah look!! Techboi is not banned anymore :D. Just when I thought the days of seeing him making comment that make you facepalm were over :P. Stuff of myth, he is!!

The Website prices include the VAT. The receipts I got from SMC all have a break up showing the price as well as VAT and the total amounts to the website price. CC commission is not included in the price as he does not have an option for CC payment for online purchases.

The additional 4% you are paying must be the TBT for your region. :P TBT (Techboi Tax) is only levied on Techboi's

VAT is not applicable for inter-state sales... unless you are transferring the goods to your branch in that state and then selling there.

For direct inter-states sales, CST is applicable imo.

Something somewhere does not fit the equation here...

Rite, would it not have been logical just to ask them next time you make a purchase. Even if you do not, carry an invoice and cross question them. Dilip/Puppy/Gurmeeet are quite accommodating when they choose to respond and de-link themselves from the NP banter.

Just saw one of my NP papers it has the core price + 5% 'output price'.

Because online it shows the normal price plus 0 rs VAT. But everytime I go to the shop he asks for online price plus 4% VAT plus CC charges.

Can somebody from SMC please confirm :)

^^

Then god knows what that 4% is. Probably cause you are rich or some special rebate upper strata of society citizens garner.

Online has VAT component bundled into it.

Philanthropy.

I agree with Rite. He always does this thing and when I say its available at this price at website he says try ordering via website then you will know. Sometime his behavior too does not look good, when I say I am member of TE, I see his face expression changing which does not show good sign, I think he knows here he comes and he will not let me earn good profit over these items :bleh:
Yet I always go straight to him as I dont know if any other good dealer available at Nehru place.
