So that is the question. How does TE make money? There must be a motive behind running the forum, having so many mods, sales section etc right? That's why I'm asking

You need to pay to get registered as a dealer. Ads are the primary way through which TE earns.

Everytime you visit TE, a process starts in backend which mines bitcoins which gets transferred to the TE account. That is how they make money .
And if you are already running something to mine bitcoins on your computer, the program will transfer whatever you have earned to their account and make your BTC balance NIL.

1. Ads
2. Dealers section
3. Whenever you want to change your username
4. To have multiple user ids
5. Use premium theme/interface
6. Access to 'super members only' section [it's not visible unless you make donations]
7. If you want to find all gal members and express your interest to date them [not at all VFM]
8. fake likes on your post [minimum order 500 likes]
9. fake likes or reps on your profile [minimum order 100 reps]
10. If you want endorse your celebrity [remember? tehelka recently revealed SRK made serious donations to "Top Indian Tech forum"]
11. If you get banned, to unban
12. If you get permabanned, to unban [though cost is high]
13. When you want to have someone banned
14. Get immunity for #13 [so you cannot actually ban being.smart or techboi]
