I mean in terms of warranty (support)...will be getting the 1kva version of same......as my budget is ard 4k and apc 800va itself now cost 5k+

my system is not insane(heavy) but its better to b future proof

I have been using Powersafe 600VA UPS for last 6 months and I am quite happy about it. I have my ADSL modem and Wifi router attached to it. Initially I had a problem with the backup cause the UPS would think of the load as 0 load and switch off, however a technician came and fixed up the stuff. Now am having a backup of almost 2 hours.

I think you should instead check out the Powercom (also called PCM) 1kva UPS for around 4k, I have one which I bought over a year back for 4.5k. This works quite well on my second setup.

Check with Nilesh of APEX for Powercom UPS ... he sells APC and Powercom UPS ...

Powersafe UPS are relatively good in quality n service... But better service also comes at higher price.

I'll Second to EAZY.

My cousin is using Powecpm UPS since last 8 months though, but still no complaints or whatsoever.

aah did i mistyped??powercom with powersafe now i m confused.....btew eazy where is the link which gives apex google map...lol u r expert in it....

how many hours? 20 mins max!! I've got a 1 kva powersafe, and when I was testing it initially it used to give me about 40 mins. The battery died in about 3 months, and the engineers came to my place and changed it, but since then it only gives me about 20 mins. The guys say that this is normal.
Also, I've got a 17 inch monitor attached to it, and if I turn it off and then back on again while it's running on battery, it overloads and shuts down. Better to go for 2*600w ups's in my opinion.

1kva means i guess it can take 700w loads max......do u have power hungary gfx card or cpu oc???...else i guess your battery is screwed(not the vulgar meaning..lolz)

@magnet

APEX is right across the road of Dreamland Cinema and Kunhar who are the sellers of Powersafe are located on the road behind APEX, these 2 dealers are close to each other so you can check them both out.

The 1kva Powercom has a connector on it for attaching external batteries in case you want extended backup time.

The load on my UPS is 500w max, but the engineer from powersafe said that it shuts down when i restart my monitor because it draws too much current while starting up overloading the circuitry. Nothing to do with the batteries.
The 20 mins backup time is pathetic, but arguing with the powersafe guys is useless...they keep insisting that it's normal, and I just got sick of talking to them. I've got a generator in my building, so it's not a big issue, but it is irritating knowing that a 600w ups would have served me just as well for less than half the cost.

Are you saying if the PC is on, then it reboots when u switch on the monitor ?
