How is Amity University ?

One of my cousin is planning to take admission in Amity Univ Lucknow.. I have some doubts regarding that ...

1. Some one told me Amity Noida is fraud ..
2. How is Amity Lucknow.. Is it good and recognized ?
3. How is their placements , they mentioned 100% placements with lots of reputed companies as their recruiters Amity University
4. What kind of aptitude they offer ?
5. Should he opt for Noida or Lucknow ?

Please help me clearing the doubts..

Having met the crowd of Amity Lucknow,I would suggest against it. However it's a nice place for 'bird' watching if you know what I mean. Amity Noida is comparatively better in placements as compared to Amity Lucknow. Tell your friend to study hard and not consider Amity as an option. NITs is what he should be aiming for. If he is giving the UPTU exams and considering staying in Lucknow,then aim for better ranks and go for Shri Ramswaroop Memorial or Babu Benarasi Das. And DO NOT take admission in a new Engg. college(in UP) even if it's build by the son of God. I am paying the price of making this mistake.

No i am from NCCE israna.It's the first college opened by this very group (that has opened GITM) in 1998.I got attracted as it was an older college and one of my friends(who was in ITM) recommended it to me and till this date i can't stop cursing him.

Heh btw which GITM are you guys from - Global or Gurgaon.lol
 
Well I was talking about the Gurgaon one but I don't study in this one either. I'm in SITM- rewari if you heard of it somewhere. Basically I think MDU as a university is SHIT!!!!
 
I wd higly recommend you to take admission in govt colleges , no matter how bad they are in reputation , because the fact is all private college/university in India build fake reputation through advertising in newspaper etc but in real are worst then any govt college , they put there money and yours in advertising not for hiring staff or infrastructure . sad but true...
 
I am in Gurgaon not Global lol... Global sucks. My only consolation seems to be that being a govt. college they might fare a bit better than the private unis otherwise its really bad out here.
 
Amity sucks plain and simple - their engineering grads dont know chalk from cheese and about MBA less said the better. I had a team of MBA grads from Amity reportign to me - I wanted to tear my hair (or whatever that is left after 4 years of frustratign corporate life) everytime I assigned them tasks. Wonder dad's money and being clueless babes can take you places !!!

U need to study very hard to get good NIT.. coz only few of them are good... others dont deserve the tag of NIT

Guess what guys !!!

I have passed out of Amity university last year, did my Btech cse from the noida campus.

Currently placed with Emerson Electric. (Guess the name would say it all).

Although the college is not renouned, i totally agree on that, the level of studies is really good, the placements are excellent.

Better than getting into shitty DU colleges or some Lovely happy or Galgotia, Ajay Kumar, etc ...

Guess the Amity brand will surely rise in years to come ..
 
How does IIPM get so much money to put full page ads everyday in ToI, HT, Hindu etc.? Do they really get so many students? :no:

Attractive, full page ads that lure the vulnerable lot.
 
Depends.... MDU is a much older university and has a LOT more colleges under it. IP has lesser colleges but some like Agrasen and BVP are better than the MDU colleges in NCR area.
