How is HTC Magic (Android OS) ?

yes. that is what I was telling. The failure rate of HTC phones is much much lower than that of Nokia and SE phones.
 
that's right the build quality of these smar phones are better than nokia but am talkin bout the after warranty serviceability.for that u have to give nokia a thumbs up.cos the local repairwwala loves nokia more than any other phone.
 
With a questionable service support on a high-end phone, I have made up my mind for
a genuine IPhone 3G 8gig.

I will have to buy a legit piece because i will be getting it from my dad's credit card.
His company has allowed to pay 40% for any phone if bought through a consumer loan finance on credit card basis :D

So, its Iphone 3G.
I want to know the various places it may be available leaving apart Vodafone and Airtel stores in Delhi NCR ? Plz help ?
This is beacuse I would be getting 3 mobile phones together at the price quote of one :ohyeah:

Dude. that would be a big mistake. Just because the support is below par, you are going for a model that is totally below par when compared to competition.

And that too paying the same amount for which you can get HTC HD2, which is considered the best mobile phone in the market right now, surpassing superb phones like iphone 3GS, N900, Nexus One.

If you are going to spend 30k bucks on a phone, look no further than HD2.

Hey, Thnx for the suggestion. I only have to pay 60% of the market price of the phone, so can only buy legit phones. I liked the reviews of the HTC hero, but then a questionable service backup, future reliability etc. moves my mind away from this phone.
Plz suggest . What phone should I buy, coz I have had experiences where phone was kept for 2 long months in the service center awaiting for a small part.

Hd2 is officially released and available in the market. Afaik, htc hih end phones are as reliable as iPhone. Only thing is that u need to be careful with hese capacitive touch screens as hey come win glass layer which is brittle and even apple will charge for such damage repair.

Also htc hd2 is supposed to get upgrade to winmo7. MS is reported to demo win mobile 7 (which is designed from scratch) at mobile world congress 2010 that starts tomorrow.

There is one thinkdigit forum member using hd2. let me find his name so that u can check with him about this phone

Dude do yourself a favor and avoid a WM. Contrary to popular belief HTC A.S.S. is better than the likes of Nokias and Samsungs. IMO narrow down your search to HTC Hero vs. iPhone vs. Magic.

The good thing about Magic is its very hackable and Indian version has an official Sense upgrade option. So essentially you will get a phone with Sense UI and at a lower price point. So once you are bored with the OEM ROM there are plenty of cooked ROMs out there to lay your hands on. Airtel's version of Magic comes with more RAM compared to other versions (such as Google and Vodafone branded).

I am not a fan of Apple products because personally I like choices and openness of technology. HTC Hero well is ...HTC Hero... nice, solid rugged phone. With all the widgets ON this phone is a sheer bundle of joy. Take your pick. I were you I would have picked a Hero.

Will post my buying experience as soon as I get my hand on this phone.
