its very nice i had that also as a choice but i finally purchased the 32LG80 FR

i saw this model as well 42LF20FR, its pretty good for its price!!

for how much are u getting the 42 incher one?

i checked LH90 & LF20 side by side & the LF20 was way better than the edge-lit LH90.

btw i found the PQ of sony to be much better than any LG model.. the LF20 is really good & comparable to a sony.

Around 48...wil bargain more..

How much for 32LG80 FR?

Guys any reviews of this TV?

Anyone demo it?

Im going tomorrow with a pendrive..will check hdmi playback for a nHD..

I've seen this model and it is probably one of LG's better models. If you are getting the 42 inch model at that price, it's an excellent deal.

Sometime back, I went to Croma armed with loads of different series and movies in my pendrive and some HD rips on DVDs (720p).

All the episodes looked absolutely brilliant and the newer series, which were 16:9 ( and of much better quality than the Friends and Everybody Loves Raymond rips ) looked fantastic. The color reproduction was pretty good and I tested The Golden Compass HD on it (after installing VLC on one of their lappies and then connecting it to the screen :P) and it was looking awesome.

Even though it is one of the cheaper models out there but it is surely VFM. Purchase it.. you won't regret it. :)

I bought the 42LF20 around Diwali for 45k. I found it to be the best compared to Sony, Samsung and Philips. Full HD at this rate and the PQ tilted my decision in its favour. Got 50 DVD pack free with it.

Yeah even i saw some HD stuff on it, it was the LG HD generator i heard, It was looking awesome...They were Unreal tournament trailer and all..
But standard definition wasnt so great :(
BTW how is 42lh35 ?
Has a better feature set for a few 1000 more..

I didnt go for LH35 as that was expensive by Rs 4.5k and provided only a 1000:! more of Contrast ratio & USB plug n play. I'd rather buy a Media player(WD TV etc) to use the USB thingy.

I also got a LG LF20FR during diwali for 39k

the picture quality is great, almost as good as tvs costing 20-30k more but for that you have to take your time and adjust the settings manually cos the default settings are way to bright with high colour and contrast, HD stuff looks awesome

although the sound is not so good, my 21 inch crt had better sound

very good VFM in my opinion

also i read online that the service usb port can be activated to play movies music and pictures like its higher priced brethren

btw where are you located?? if your from mumbai i know a dealer who can give you a really good deal

Im still deciding...

There arent enough reviews :(

BTW, im from Nagpur, wat wud be the price now?

And how did u get it THAT cheap :O

i compared lf20 with lh35...I found lh35 to be much better...i saw it in vijay sales,mumbai...and i think lh35 is worth 3000 more....go for lh35....it costed around 51-52k

didnt knoe HD TV became so affordable :D

when i bought my non HD 42" LG, it costed me 86k
tho mine has a 80GB HDD in it, time shift series :ohyeah:

anyways, on my tv, Blue ray (thru laptop - HDMI), DVD, gaming look freaking amazing, but tata sky, VCD movies... look too pixelated :@ , look like shit.

Are you also looking at those new ones Sony has just released?
I haven't seen them but the prices are looking good, although I don't know why.

This is just a suggestion actually as I haven't seen them in action.

Frankly, not interested in sony at all..
I saw lf20 beside a 1.5lac sony model, and i cud barely see a 5% difference..

Exactly

I did a blindfold test(the tv company logo was taped up) and found the LG comparable to the SOny which was at least 20k more expensive. That made me go in for the LG 42LF20.

Ok.

Actually I have a Samsung LED-backlit LCD and even the normal analogue cable and other SD content looks excellent on it, something which I didn't notice in other LCDs excluding Sony ZX series which was way above my budget.

I also had a look at LG LH90 and wasn't impressed too much. :(

Someone above said that this LF20 was better than LH90, so this one might be the one for you. :hap2:

Which model of Sony were you comparing?

My cousin will also be buying a TV and he seems inclined towards Sony just for the brand tag.

May be I can try to save his bucks. :)
