It’s obvious I have only covered the tip of the ice-berg here and I could go on and on about the product, but the review would never end. I covered some of things that interested me in this introductory review and focused on the features I experimented with. The Ribbon in the core applications is a bold step forward, but its necessary, 1,500 commands and a plethora of toolbars have pushed the antiquated interface to the limit and it’s just a matter of time until the Office team makes the Ribbon standard across the entire modules in the Office System.

It’s an innovative interface yes, but will the benefits outweigh the changes? That’s for users to decide. My personal say is getting used to the interface should not be a problem for many since the familiar tools are organized in ways that makes it convenient for the user to access both new and previously hidden features. This makes the interface more intelligent and more aware of what the user is doing, presenting the right tools for the Task at hand. I am proud to say; this is an Office release I definitely look forward to using everyday.

I love Office 2007 and its ribbon UI... really the best Office yet!! Any1 who has used it doesnt wanna use any other Office app... I guess all the OpenOffice users must be really pissed off (I was one of those users...)

at first, u might have have a bit of trouble specially if are used to office 2003 or XP...but later u find its nothing very different...instead of dropdown menus we have simple stacked buttons in toolbar form

looks are nice and compatibility is there with almost all previous releases

I've not worked on it, but heard from a very good friend of mine, that 2007 office is one product MS developers have put lots of effort in. Heard they have icons stacked up instead of menus(exactly what vendetta has said).

Sorry, I used it  , but I will stick to Sun Office (Sun's OpenOffice) for just one killer feature- Install once in anyone OS (in my case WinXP) run from anywhere - Windows2000, Linux, WinME (over network)..... just select the proper CLASS file :hap2:
