Security Software how is Quick Heal Total Security /internet security ?

A memory hog. Not really effective on some of the common viruses and trojans. If it were me, I'll avoid it like plague. If you are running a genuine Windows 7/ Vista, MSE is the best option. Else settle for KIS (paid) or Antivir (free).

Its highly over-rated, is a memory hog as logistopath has pointed out and simply just not worth the price it retails for. Its ridiculous that QH is more expensive than KIS or Bit Defender (Both single and Multi user packs).

I would vouch for ESET/KIS/Bit Defender, take your pick among them. ESET is slightly more expensive than KIS/BD but is as light as air on the system.

Quick heal is highly overrated. Totally filled with junk.
Use Kaspersky Internet Security latest version. Its the best.
or F-Secure Internet Security(currently using) if you don't mind a pop-up every time a new app requests net or when you open 18+ sites.

Like everyone said, stay away. Crap support and crap software. My vote for Eset Nod 32.

Try Avira Antivir Personal (or Avast) coupled with Comodo FW (or Online Armor Free)

this setup can give you reliable and feather light security for free

i haven't used quickheal but i hear people using it are somewhat satisfied
 
QH is not recommended... Wait... Didn't all above say the same thing?? :P

I use AVG Free and have had no issues ever.

isn't avg like in its worst phase ever?

the avg free and paid versions deleted some windows drivers to crash the system all over the world

how safe is that? :)
 
Download Free Norton Internet Security 2011 90 Days Trial... Try this u wud love it... it is very light on system... has new function called pulse update which automatically updates the definition files in every 3 to 5 mins...

Buy Kaspersky for around Rs.300:D

If you are using Win7 you can use MSE(free/Cracked by Microsoft itself:bleh::bleh:).

BTW: I donno agree with Ichaitnya ( actually Quick heal is Horse S**t)

Hmmm... I never heard of that before... :S

It works just fine for me. Much better than Avira anyday.
 
Forget Quickheal and get Norton or Kaspersky. Tried Quickheal sometime back and was unable to detect viruses. Go for either Norton or kaspersky.

Dunno which issue he meant but my HTPC blue screens once in a while when shutting down. That particular error has been linked to the onboard ethernet+AVG combo. Happens only occasionally and I don't like the frequent pop ups of Avira disturbing my HTPC frontend, so still with AVG. Eset Nod32 Antivirus on the 4 other PCs though.

I've always had to go through extra steps to enable file sharing properly on KIS equipped lappies joining my home network, so don't recommend it much. KIS also has a very high rate of false positives compared to Eset Nod 32. I normally suggest free Avira and paid Eset Nod 32s to my customers. AVG is avoided because of the blue screen issue (rare though it might be).
 
Guys don't you think "quick heal" sounds as a name of medicine(that Pre-supposes something to be sick):huh:
I believe in "prevention is better than cure":P

+1. Norton IS if you can shell out some money, else Kaspersky IS is cheap and effective. Total peace of mind.
