How is Reliance Wimax?

what plan are you on?? that's more or less decent speeds that you get on Wimax. Not much more you can do. Reliance wimax doesnt fluctuate so much on their speeds based on the limit they have on your plan. The only thing that will cause a fluctuation (apart from server issues/network issues) is the signal strength.

i m using 1 mbps unlimited plan... No FUP... its quite costly (rs 1900 per month)...

signal is aroung 27 (tower is 700 m away)...

anyone around pune using similar wimax plan ??

Thats what i thought. I had the same plan.. so the speeds look fine to me.. not likely you'll get more.

Anyways, i made the switch to MTNL and frankly.. they're much better, faster than reliance (marginal speed bump on the 1mbps plan) and a whole lot cheaper. No brainer really :)

i had used BSNL at my hometown, it was the best deal abt internet one can get... i used used 750 UL plan... no wonder i used to hav arnd 120 gb a month without any issues for 2 years..

few months back i shifted to pune and struglled to get BSNL connection here... every time i applied through UDAN a guy called asked to provide neighboring bsnl connection telephone number... i said how can i know i m new so he said no nearby phone no, no internet connection... u know govt. employees !!!

i tried almost all operator for connection in my area (Pimpale gurav )... tikona guy came but he hradly got any signal here so i rejected that plan...

so as to get internet i have to manage something, i guess its the cost now...

:)

cheers to life...

I used local cable powered by reliance ISP long before, (rs 550/- for 64 kbps), then shifted to BSNL 500 c+ plan, then shifted back to my cable again, since they had wishnet, and I was pretty happy with it, since it has a great lan base. but all of a sudden my cable operator moved to a new ISP named aspdl. No one else have heard this name so far, but now since almost each of the file sharing site is blocked, I came to know, its using reliance ISP n now I am thinking of moving back to BSNL again, since no other connection is available here at dum dum.

So, before taking any reliance connection think again, you will be left with torrents only, everyday new uploading sites are being blocked here

so far its good....

i have this 1 mbps unlimited connection and since first day its giving constant speeds, no dis-connection at all...!!

dowloading arnd 15 gb/day...
