Laptops How is Toshiba Satellite L510-P401A for 25k?

i just heard from another member now that the msi cr400x comes with a p8300@2.4ghz for 29250rs/- the remaining specs are 14 inch screeen 250gb hdd nvidia 730i chipset and geforce 8200m for graphics-----a real steal.

Where is it available in Mumbai/Pune?

TOSHIBA's INDIA Build Quality

Hi,
There is some question still remains on products sold by Toshiba India,In India Toshiba imports specifically manufactured products for India & some African places,These products are made with lower build quality too,.I had checked more than 50+ products sold by Toshiba by taking them part by part & doing some R &D on them.I found that products with higher build quality & high spec with 10-25% lower price is shipped to Singapore too.

In India Toshiba Sells low quality products with more margins than ever.Also from our observation Toshiba India's overall Quality & Service in product & support also gradually decreased over time.

Toshiba India Sells products under its own model & part number in India.Similiar with high buidl quality with Lower pricetag also can be sourced from any shops in Gulf too.

Its a clear statement that Toshiba sells lower grades in India.Also thier bundled carry cases are of ineferior quality too. Many of our customers reported that its hook broken & dropped theier laptops from bikes,railway stations & even at bus bays.

Earlier Toshiba bundled bags from dicota & targus,Now they are selling cheap ones sourced from a local singapore co too.

Although these laptops are made by Toshiba ODMS such us Inventec,Clevo & Compal etc,but some build quality reduction in Product case , reduction in components quality(Lower MTBF),and Display parts.
So buying a Toshiba Lap from india does not mean that you are getting a Toshiba of good quality.If youcan source the similiar from Singapore or UAE & check to see what the real difference is.

he may have a point some of toshiba's most rock solid reliable models are not available in india -- the equium which sells in europe and the protege--we sometimes get it in india-- and the qosmio.

Naseeruddin shah used a qosmio in the movie A Wednesday -- when he's on the rooftop calling Anupam Kher.

I tried out the L510-P401 today, and it felt ordinary/understated ( not cheap) except for the big ass toshiba logo

matte finish lid, LOVED the keyboard with very clicky keys

was quoted 31k for it.

It comes with a T-4400, right? Very high priced then.
The Dell inspiron 14 with i-3,2 GB DDR3 and 250GB HDD is only 31.4k.:hap5:
Also chk about servicing for Toshiba lappies. I guess HCL handles it and not much +ve exp. reported by forum members.

Got the Inspiron 15.6" i3/3GB/320GB/DOS for 33K today [with Belkin] I was getting tired else could have probably pulled off a couple of hundred bucks more

for 25k msi cr400x is the best you can get. if you have 28-29k to spend u can get the msi with core i3--msi cr420 with 2 years of warranty or the dell inspiron.
