single user buys a copy that to from companies pocket, can you say everyone is buying one?, my dear look around nearby. more than 90% PC are running Pirated copies and rest also a *forced* OEM copies when they brought a new system. there is no choice to buy XP or without os. else noone would have paid for VISTA bloatware.

you can't see:bleh:

Are you a total idiot? Did you see the date i.e. the year 2000 (in case you're stupid enough not to get that?)? Secondly those weren't OEM copies. It was a corporate scheme, where employees were offered discounts. We got a box pack, just like the retail copy. But I see Stalkers point in resting his case, which maybe the only way to deal with total dumba** tux fanboys...

And stop talking about 'imandaar'. Its fuc*in annoying to hear you rant on about something, either pay for Windows, or shut up if you cannot afford to. Speaking for the true techies over here most of us have paid versions of our OS'. Why don't you spread linux love elsewhere, and keep your totally juvenile, halfas*ed opinions to yourself? When the next Windows comes out, I'll buy an original copy of that too.

Besides you've gone totally OT from what Vij originally started the thread for. If you haven't paid for your OS, shut up.
Now I rest my case.

^^^What's your point? Quite a few guys here are using Vista bought by their own money. I'm one of them.

Edit: lol, was replying to Gaurish's statement above Vandal's!

excuse me sir, I thought we were having a heathly discussion.you are not able to prove your point so you used such a langauge. i feel pity on you.

FYI,

i have two windows vista copies & and a windows XP SP2. all 3 copies were forced on me by OEMs. which is restrictive & unethical

i don't use Linux because its free but because technologically its far more superior than any windows version. windows is a idiot friendly os, and i am not a idiot:p

do you feel proud by paying for os?

I would rather donate money to poor instead of filling cash registers of Mr. Ballmer.

U know , the 1st line is the only point I agree on. But your other arguments, seriously, u need to broaden ur mind. Just like u'd like us to try Linux, we'd like to use Vista or any other MS software at our discretion. Remember, we're not asking u to buy Vista or pay for our licenses.

I really don't like u insinuating I'm an idiot either. I promote and prefer Linux for corporates, govt agencies etc (wherever the requirements are mostly office apps, browsing the net and the like) but how the hell am I supposed to get my gaming fix on Linux? So, just cos I use my discretion in choosing my OS, I am labelled an idiot? Remember, OSS is all about the right to choose. Get off ur superiority mindset. Free your mind.

If you apply that logic then you will have to steal products ranging from toothpastes to cars and proclaim yourself the next Robinhood :p

i dont think he'll agree naga.. atleast him nd the other chap in that indian railways thread were'nt ready to agree that freedom of choice and freedom of making a decision is something important.

the mods had to close the damn thread. hope we dont get started with the same debate here again.

if these so called proponents of FOSS are up to it, i'd request them to start a separate thread where they can crap on windows for as much as they want. i think theres been too much OT in unrelated threads already.

me out for the last time from this thread

The fact that you need to state it and repeat it so fervently coupled with the fact that your OEM copies were (probably) part of a readymade rig (and not assembled) proves how smart you really are. Sometimes quit when you are ahead or when we're not very focussed on you, and the crap that comes outta your noggin. That would be smart. BTW who forced a copy of windows on you? Your vendor? Your company? And you fell for it? And that's supposed to be 'smart'?
quote - "all 3 copies were forced on me by OEMs. which is restrictive & unethical "

You better file an FIR pronto, that's abuse of civil rights. Sue them. You may win an original copy of Windows :p

Hell yes! I'm proud to have an original copy of Windows, just like I'm proud that my original copy of Crysis cracks a genuine 50+ fps (DX9) on my original 8800GTX.

AFA bloatware goes I have 4 GB of RAM, and 1.5 TB of storage. I say bring on the bloatware, and where's RiO with the beer??

BTW Ballmer donates more to charity than you probably ever could :p

My last post here.
