How much money do you spend every year on computer upgrades??

Ok, what I quoted was a lil exaggerated :P but true to a large extent nevertheless...

Look at it this way...A regular guy earning say 50K a month (take-home) would have ~25K (50%) left after covering basic expenses (Rent, Travel. Food, utilities etc.)

A guy earning 4K (take-home) in the US would have something like 1K (25%) after covering the same basic expenses....

now even though tech stuff may be cheaper, you are not going to spend all of your disposable income on it na?
 
i am earning, but i am not into spending on electronics and gizmos.

after i purchased my rig before 3 years i have done only done follwing changes
increased ram to 512 MB
upgraded gfx card from gf4 mx 400 to 9800 pro.
and changed my psu to better to supply the gfx card.

but i do spend a lot on my professional setup.

most likely will build a rig coming summer if the plan goes on track and i can hold on to plans of a new operating microscope.
 
that 25k leftover makes perfect sense until you put in the 20k for housing loan EMI that a regular guy has to put in sooner or later!:-(
 
^^In that case, it gets into the 25K that he's already spending... Cos mostly no house rent then :P. Fact is cost of living is really high there... 3000$ what superczar said is really not an exaggeration, whereas if you are a single guy like me, 25k spent in india is actually a bit high :P. I end up spending less than that.
 
:P ... See my rig. I haven't bought a single gadget this year ... But getting a Zune in December ... and maybe a PC upgrade in January ...(When quadros out ....)

Firefox

Winamp

MSN Messenger

PES

FIFA

VLC Media Player

Adobe PS

That'z it ................ So basically will go in for a Vista capable PC .. I dont like spending me parents' $$$ :P

@ Faheem, yes its still Pump it.. Lol.. Changing it to Promiscuous girl now...

Anyways..

Im gonna be working with CGS (Cyber Games India) as a Map Designer for CS 1.6, mod maker for HL2 engine.
