How much would you typically spend on a pair of jeans?

Lifestyle has launched a new brand (their own brand) of casual wear--Delure---they have this special promotion offer till the 2nd of Jan 2011. Jeans(any fit,colour,whatever) @ Rs.399. I bought two pairs of Delure jeans. The fit, finish and quality is comparable to Levis(i know since i wear nothing but levis) but at 1/5 , 1/6 th the price. People looking for cheap but decent jeans can check it out.

lifestyle---its a big apparel store. google lifestyle--it must be there in delhi.
 
Branded ones mostly Lee coopers, but I always look for something like 40/50% off or 1 pe 1 free offer :P (so actual cost is near to 1.5k). Btw I don't see any point for spending MRP prices for any brand, they will always have some kind of offer atleast once in a year...
 
You don't get offers (for all practical purposes) in India for brands like TH, CK, 7FAM, Diesel, Ed Hardy, and of course luxury brands like Armani, Gucci, Versace etc. The only offer may be like 10-15% off or so and that too with a limited choice and that too for a limited number of brands. In USA of course it is very different. Even brands like LV get 50%+ off there, at least once or twice a year.

Besides, Lee Cooper retails around 700-1000 bucks most of the time. Lee is still around 2-2.5k or 3k or so.
 
In China, stuff is more expensive than in USA, perhaps as expensive if not more expensive than in India.

What you get for cheap are fakes!

^^ In Mumbai, places like Lower Parel etc where Tommy Hilfiger jeans are assembled, if you know the right laborer you can get it at 1/10th the cost. Smuggled of course :P, almost all aparel is made in India or China, except for the uber cool Italian suits. If you want chicks you need to suit up :)
