Hey guys! I've been trying to call the '8' series DoCoMo number from landlines(BSNL, Airtel and Reliance), but I'm unable to get through. I either get "Please check the number you have dialed" or it simply doesn't go through(busy tone or something similar)

How can I place a call to the '8' series DoCoMo numbers??

So, is it actually possible to place a call? I'm thinking of going for another DoCoMo connection only because of the cheap talk time. As of now, I'm not really worried about the network signal. It's pretty good in my locality. Has the '9' series number completely stopped? I've searched in quite a few places and see only the '8' series.

DOCOMO network is pathetic when your in your house. I never get more than 3 bars and if I have to close all the doors MAX signal is 2 bars.

They are planting towers so maybe in a few months they will be good to go.

^ I dont get even a single bar in my home.. I hope network will be strong after so called some months..

Whenevr i try to call itz always busy..even when its not..this has happnd with me when i had the docomo cell in my hand and I was outside!

Docomo sucks big time. No range and jammed networks. Only advantage is the 1 sec pulse (but then reliance cheaters also give that option).

Yup! It sucks more or less, but I'm sticking with it only for the call charges. Also, Vodafone was notorious for bad signal initially and lot of people moved to Airtel. Now, Vodafone is very good in Bangalore and my tariff works out pretty well for me. Will try to experiment again with the '8' series DoCoMo before going for it. Please do fill in about your experience with the '8' series...

8 series works normally as 9 series. there is no special procedure to call. I never faced any such problems that you mentioned, its most probably your Mobile Operator's fault.

PS: I am using Vodafone

I am using Docomo 8 series. There is no special procedure to call.

It has good network connectivity in Trivandrum, Kerela.

But in most other places the network is pathetic :@

When i goto my home town in TN not even a single bar while airtel and aircel have full range :)

Same is with Reliance GSM, I have a 8 series number and my friends are unable to reach me and in case if they are lucky and the call is connected no one would be able to hear each other.

DOCOMO signal always single bar at home
moreover whenever i turn my mobile to flight mode and return to normal the signal never returns and i have to restart my mobile

what else do you expect from a service provider who makes such a gay Ad ??!! :P

Docomo network is always nil in my college... even where the loop network works in basement !!

Why are they using a diff network ... is it that they are using some cheap network and hence reduced the price .. I dont understand how it is a good deal to go for DOCOMO then .. its the same as in all things money can buy .. the higher you pay the better the service and quality.
