How to censor movies quickly??

I want to censor some part of a movie so that I can see it comfortably with my parents.

I know it can be done with adobe premiere but It will take a lot of time to re-encode the movie which I do not want to do.

I want an easy alternative like.
show blank screen for a specific given time,
or skip the movie automatically from a given frame to a given frame.

do any of the media players have these features??
I have windows and ubuntu both.
how do I do it please help.

if you want to cut the scene without re-encoding , use virtual dub to cut the scene which you dont want to see

If its an AVI file, u can use Virtual Dub with Direct Streaming to cut mid part out.

With MPEG, use TMPEG Encoder

Dunno for other file formats
