How to change my Silver CRT tv into Black CRT tv ?

That is what i thought...

Is it okay to paint it black ?

If i paint on the porous silver color will it not drop in the speaker that is behind ?
 
obvious suggestion :) you have to paint it by hand..

use a small brush (1") with less quantity of paint at a time

do not dip brush in paint for painting on porous parts
 
This is what I would suggest though I never got around to it. Most garages will spray paint your parts with black powder coating for very cheap, as it is always available in bulk. So if you dismantled your TV you could do it, but the only issue being you need to know someone who can do it. Painting the porus parts is easy. Dip a rag in paint and then just rub it on. You will prolly have to make holes, but no paint will splatter inside.
 
hey man thats a simple process.
cover the screen with mutilayer newspaper and buy a black sprat paint bottle.
as spray paint's are very solid colour and the finish is also very nice.
after spraying let it dry for at least 6-7 hrs.
