How to claim Unclaimed EPF amount which you leave when you leave your old job and forget about it

let me try it , i worked for a company from mar to jun this year but quit after a fight with boss so cudnt get salary of 1 week and also pf that was cut every month from my salary. i dunno even my pf number . i suspect they didnt even open my account there. any way i can get those 8-9k back ?
 
I wonder how far this goes. I worked for a company 2011-2012. I have my relieving letter but never got around to getting my PF details sorted out. Dont even have my EPF account number from that place.

So I have a question, if I find my old PF account number, can I transfer that to my current EPF/UAN account? How so?

I have an unclaimed PF for my first organisation which I worked in from 2007 to mid of 2008. Never got around collecting my PF for it. I wouldn't know of my old PF account details. Can this site be trusted? I mean since it's asking for a lot of personal information (albeit some being optional).
 
Go to the epfo website and provide details
Epf details should be in salary slips If you have copies

Ideally it should be transferrable ( only AS A last option look for offline cash withdrawal)

Please try to raise online transfer claim via UAN epf transfer

Reach out to out old organization and they should provide EPF status to you

Can I also claim it even if I don't have the organization's reliving letter where I worked for a short term?
 
Of course you can
Slightly complicated but within all legal Rights to write and get your EPF details form employer
They cannot deny you your EPF amount even though the separation was complicated.. :)
 
So would I need to contact the old place of employment for any information or just fill in the EPF details and they would do the rest? I would rather avoid having to go to that place.
 
is there any agent who will do it for me for like 200-500 rs ? i dont have any details of my pf account as i never got any salary slips.

I have tried this and it takes you back to the PF site and clearly says only companies can initiate transfers. So unfortunately, not really a full proof system.

Because it will come with TDS if PF is less than 5 yrs old.

Yep and it says - "Registered EPF members can submit the transfer claim either through his present employer or the previous one." Whereas UAN is supposed to allow people to initiate transfer themselves. This has to come up slowly.
 
its done, it needs to be approved by employers
have you tried raising anything or are you just basing your feedback on the words from the GOI?
 
WOW !!!!!! i did the procedure like first post said and i got call from epfo office JUST NOW !!! also they senT me my pf number account of prev company. he said with this i can now transfer the money to my uan. now should i ask for uan number from where im currently working ??[DOUBLEPOST=1441013624][/DOUBLEPOST]IT SEEMS PREV. COMPANY ALSO ALLOTED UAN N UMBER TO ME COS ON WEBSITE I CAN SEE ITS REGISTERED AND IS ASKING DETAILS TO CONFIEM AND REGISTER ME. BUT IN MY PRESENT COMPANY I TOLD THEM I HAVE NO UAN NUMBR. SO WHAT TO DO ? IS HAVING 2 UAN A CRIME ?
 
if you have only one UAN - from your previous employer, that should be your SOLE UAN. Please update the UAN to current employer - that should be it.

ACTUALLY TODAY OR TOMORO IS WHEN IL GET MY FIRST SALARY HERE. SO IS IT TOO LATE TO GIVE MY UAN TO THEM ? I HAVE UAN MEMBER ID BUT ITS NOT YET ACTIVATED ON PORTAL FOR WHICH I NEED TO GIVE MY DETAILS N IT SEEMS IL GET A OTP ON MOBILE NUMBER. SEE SCREEN SHOT I GET WHEN I CHECKED THE PF NUMBER THAT THE GOVT. HELPDESK SENT ME .
