PC Peripherals How to claim warranty for Microsoft Products?

Hi guys,

My friends Microsoft Sidewinder X8 mouse is jammed! It has another 5 months warranty period left. He asked me how to claim for warranty from Microsoft? He bought it off from eBay, now he don't know from whom he bought the product! I don't know how to claim, so I am here!
Please help me out!

Just go to their service center in your town.
I don't think you even need the bill.
I had a keyboard with a couple of weeks warranty left, which they replaced in a couple of days time with a brand new one, and the replacements still going strong after 2 years!
Microsoft takes good care of it's customers, I think.
 
Thanks for the help! But the service centre is like 13 hours away from my friends place. Is there any way to claim the warranty through phone? Like SteelSeries?
 
I am sure there must be more centres than mentioned on the website. That page is there for ages with exact same details.

Talk to a local dealer in you area, he should be able to guide you to nearest place where you can get replacement.
