How to flash N85 to get the factory default settings??

Hi all,

I recently got Nokia N85 from market section. The guy who sold me had forgotten the lock code of the phone but still the handset opens up by entering any set of code at the time of booting. Now I want to lock my handset to avoid misuse of my phone. Hence I want to reset the phone so that the phone settings comes to its original form with lock code 12345 or else want to flash the phone to reset the code if former plan fails.

I want to know the procedure for it. Please help.
Your suggestions and advice would be of great help to me since I will be doing it for the first time.

*#06#To check IMEI number (International Mobile Equipment Identity).
*#0000#NOKIA Firmware version and date, Phone Model and Operator Variant.
*#92702689#Life timer (W A R 0 A N T Y) The time in which the phone has spent insending and receiving calls.
*#62209526#Wireless MAC Address (M A C _ W L A N).
*#2820#Bluetooth MAC address (B T A 0?).
*#7370#Format phone (Soft Reset).
*#7780#NOKIA Factory Reset (Hard Reset).

Note all the codes will necessary work with every phone model and use at your own risk.
 
When we do a hard reset for n97 does it clear out the hard drive too??also what happens to the operating system??
 
is it only the settings that wil be reset or will the memory be wiped off along with all the apps anyone wud've installed??
 
I had to go to the repair centre and flash the BIOS of N85 to reset the lock code. Now, it's done. I request the mods to close this thread. Thanks for all the help guys.
