It must not be difficult, if you have basic knowledge of PC assembly.

One way is to get the original bill which has VAT info. Also pay with credit card, so that you can dispute the transaction if required.

Most important thing: Get feedback about the shop and go to shops that sell only genuine hardware/parts.

If you are taking retail boxes, chances of fakes will be reduced.

Afaik most fake parts are pendrives, memory cards and in some cases ram sticks. All of these will be loose or in substandard packing.

Buy products with proper blister packing in sealed condition or sealed retail boxes and check the hologram in case of some products. Also get a proper VAT paid bill for all the items

Buy stuff from a known or a reputed shop.

Buy only items in Box-pack,with proper bill, and take a knowledgeable friend along.

contact the manufacturer(customer care/Service center) for confirming serial number.

always take a proper bill with tax paid; Do not get under the sales person's influence to get the bill later if you do not know him personally.

most of the pc peripheral is bit complex to be duplicated and sold with higher margin than the manufacturer itself.

also.. while buying retail boxes you can check the box for distributor's/(importer's) info... make sure it is based in india to ensure local replacement.

most parts to be duplicated are flash drives, external HDD casing etc.

Also... apart from duplicate stuff; most retailers use a cheap clone alternative.

For example, a retailer may fool a customer into buy K7 antivirus if customer ask for 'kaspersky or something'.

I have witnessed people selling inteX lcd, speakers, power supply after confirming with customer whether they need an inteL. so beware of such tactics...i know this sounds too silly but its not so silly when the customer is enthusiastic about his new PC and the euphoria can get you in the wrong deal. so just keep your ears open to clearly listen what they say and clear all sorts of doubts you may have during the purchase.

stick to known brands---if you have a specific budget or config in mind please post it here so that we can tell the best things you need to buy and you can rigorously stick to our recommended config when u go to buy ur pc and avoid fakes (i doubt you if you get any-but beware of used/second hand goods the dealer might pass onto you.)
