How to make a magazine front page in photoshop related to I.T. ???

As I have asked in the title

I want to know that how is a Front page of a Magazine related to I.T is design in Photoshop ????

I have done some work on thing and following are the PSD files what I have tried to design , so please have a look @ it and tell what can I do to make it a Professional Page rather than a JOKE :ashamed:

NOTE : I have search google and found many tutorial on this but many of the one I like where having some commercial addon which I don't have so can't follow it .

2nd one is nice actually the lower part of 2nd image is nice but check the spelling mate :O

Fonts - Not Professional , Big NO to Red color-font or glow. No shrinking or stretching images (1st one , world map) .

too dark, text unreadable, too cluttered, background colours merge with text. too much text used in some places. cant make out which is the magazine name from other text around it.
Tip: use 50% grey background to frame artwork instead of white.

a rough psd will help as I am very new to Photoshop and don't know many tricks to use it at it's full potential
