How to make a self-stamped USA-India letter?

So I'll try to break this explain a bit:

I want to send a letter to the US. The recipient wants a self-stamped letter for sending something back to me in India.

Now sending a letter to the US, via India Post, is no problem, as I can use a slightly larger envelope and place the self-stamped envelope inside it. But how do I stamp the letter that the recipient is supposed to send back to me? Since it would require US postal stamps... and how will I know what the exact amount of stamps I am supposed to paste?

Any tips? Would like to use India Post/USPS instead of couriers as I'll be sending documents only...nothing expensive or heavy.

Its available at the post office, you buy it. Its called international pre paid international return mail or something, mostly the scamsters ask for it,

You can book and pay for a USPS package online. Once done, take the soft copy of the label and send it across to the recipient of your letter so they can stick it to the envelope that you need (even the envelopes can be paid for online)

Minimum rate for an envelope is $16.95 from US to India....pretty damn steep IMO. Will check out India Post and see if they have something reasonable on offer.

@letmein First class mail starts at $10 for flat rate envelopes, and $6.93 for letters. I am not sure how much India Post charges for similar stuff
