Hey, i just got an MTNL broadband connection.

I want to play CS:CZ, CS 1.6 and UT GOY with my friends. We don't want to connect to any game server though.

Earlier i played these games with my friends on LAN. Usually i started the server on my PC and all my friends connected to it.

Now, how can i do the same on internet i.e. i'll start the server and my friends shd be able to connect to it.

I tried playing CS 1.6 thru it but i guess port forwarding is disabled by default in PPPoE mode, so HLDS showed my IP as 192.168.1.2 instead of showing my external I.P.

I have started another thread for the same:

In UT GOY, i started the server and gave my I.P to my friend, but he wasn't able to connect.

So, help me out in playing UT and CS online...

plzzzzzzzzzzzzz

just Download HAMACHI.

Hamachi : Stay Connected

Its a small tool, must be running in your and all your friend's PC, whatever kind of internet connection you / your friend's have.

Make a group. Then everyone will know everyone's HAMACHI IP.

use the IP address given by the HAMACHI.

Any one of you, start the game server as LAN. and your friends will join the server using the HAMACHI IP of the Server.

For more info read its manual.

Let me know, I am also interested to play with you.

Thanks for the link. But alas, The setup crashes on startup in Windows 98.

I suppose i would have to wait for a few days before my new PC arrives.

P.S: Repped u!
