I have a pair of panasonic headphones , the jack had come off due to rough handling..Howver this local repair guy fixed it up with a duplicate jack and chargd me 300 bucks for it..Now the sound qulity is the same however the jack is a little shaky, ie , needs to be adjusted or at times the sound breaks..Now much of a problem but I'd like to know if there is a solution please..Love these phones too much to dispose them off.

Local repair guy charged you a bomb for a Rs 30 jack. Go to local electronics parts market (Eg: Lajpat Rai Market in Delhi). Buy a decent quality jack such as the MX brand. (You wont get anything better!). But it will be better than local unbranded. Take them to a local shop for soldering.
But though the soung may be fine, dont expect the Original jack fitment. You may also find some good imported ones from the peoply who assemble High end audio systems.

300 bucks?!! A local jack comes for 5 bucks, seriously. Add a bit of soldering and no way he should have charged you more than 20 bucks, tops!
Reading your problem it looks like the soldering wasn't done properly and the wire is loose, not the jack going into the headphone slot. Get it redone by someone who knows what they are doing and try to get your money back from the jerk that duped you!

Also ensure you have good gold plated 3.5mm jack preferably branded.
After soldering check with multimeter if the job has been done satisfactorily and there is no impedance.
Unlike regular speakers Headphone/earphones milliwatts is very sensitive.
Trust your ears.

Soldering wires onto a 3.5 mm jack is not easy, and prone to disconnections again. The OE plugs are moulded, with the rubber/plastic around the original soldered connection .
The aftermarket plug has no such luxury.
I suppose one could try a hot melt gun
