How to run *.avi files on PowerDVD?

Hello Friends,
My friend gave me a 5 movies in *.avi format...
the problem is it cant b played on PowerDVD... n thats the only one in which the sound quality is njoyable wid MX5021. I tried makin a VCD wid nero but its not importin the file..
can anyone plz help me out here?? :):ashamed:

use PowerDVD 7
 
it works in vlc player but the sound quality sucks..

but i dont hav the original version of Power DVD 7 :(

btw how did the meet go??
 
hey udit i downloaded the

CyberLink PowerDVD v 7.2 BD Edition

usme main bhi kam nahin kar raha hai :(

n btw

how to set the screen size to 1440x900? there is no option :(

ah found the stretch option :P
 
hey i m still unable to run the avi file on power dvd.. u guys know any other player which wud giv good sound output like power dvd and wud play avi files?

vlc player doenst giv good sound at all :(
 
hey i downloaded a codec from the internet n installed it.. n now the avi movie is working in all my players,windows media player,power dvd 4 etc etc :D
