How to sent Money Outside India please help

can we sent some amt outside india now as it was blocked by rbi last month i have heard in news last month i need to transfer some amount outside india as it would be in euro and its more then 50 k . i have seen to make a transfer via bank wire taransfer via icici bank as i havent done any transaction till yet please help folks :(

Wire transfer would be too costly for the amount of money you are sending.

Indian Bank will charge you some fee along with conversion charges.Other than that the person who receives the money from you will be charged some Fees by his/her account.

It's better to get details from the respective bank involved in the transaction about the fees and charges before you do a wire transfer.

yes i know there are charges for icici bank for the transfer is about 1350rs thats not a issue for me as far as i know but my question is now can we sent money as rbi have stopped the trasanction for sending money outside the country
 
I am in a similar situation. Have to send money to sis and she is in USA. What are my options. I have HSBC and HDFC account. Don't mind the additional charges/exchange rate are long as they are reasonable.

ok i far as i know from the past 2 months its was blocked by rbi we were unable to sent funds but have to confirm it tomorrow from them but a bankwire transfer would be great if possible as need to sent it to switzerland

this says that you can send upto 1,11,317INR which is not less i guess....

AFAIK Western Union only allow you to receive money in India.

What is the purpose of the transfer? Check ICICI site and they have listed the categories for which they allow wire transfers.

thanks for the reply mate today i got confirmed with icici bank that we can make a wire transfer the amount you need to transfer with the current exchange rate given by bank and charges are as follows Rs 500 + 10.5 service tax which comes to approx Rs 552 only
 
Just wondering, can't paypal be used here? Or am I missing something here?

Person at the receiving end just needs to open a PP account, link to his/her bank account and get it verified. Then just make transfer from PP to PP...

paypal to paypal wont be possible bcoz you cant sent more then 500$ to an outside country you will have to make 2-3 payments to make a full payment and you also need to sent the money via credit card as indians can not use paypal balance

so paypal is a headache these days for indian users due to rbi :(
