hi, may someone explain how to setup utorrent client? I read some guides but it is too complicated how to setup configure and port forward just to get fast downloads. I don't know why it is so hard just to get a fast download. Will someone be able to assist me?

port forward depends on the isp that you are using ,and the speed depends on number of seeders involved , plus this question will go into either applications / internet ... not in general :P

guys i have a webstar wireless router for cable modem and if i forward my ports, 1 would it speed up my downloads? and 2 i don't know how to forward ports

there was a webstar there : Scientific-Atlanta - WebSTAR-DPR2320

u will just have to login to your modem through the web browser to know your modems model no. i'm sure the steps written ther will be similar for your modem.
just do trial and error till the ports are forwarded.

dude just have patience, if we were to spoon feed you we'll have to copy the whole content from the above site to make you understand port forwarding.

chill out, take some time, and go though the pages in the site. u'll be much wiser in the end. peace man :cool2:

where the hell is it? I scanned through each one and did not see webstar

I got to the point where i had to enter my IP address in the web browser so i tried a few different addresses and they were not found.. It suppose to bring up a box with a name and password

ha ha! okay! u cant try a combination of ip addresses.

i hope u can see a network icon in your system tray.

if not go to network connections and double click on your lan connection.

click properties and select the "show icon in notification....."

click ok

in the local area connection status > support tab

see what the default gateway is. it should be 192.168.x.x

type this ip address in ur browser like: http://192.168.x.x

u will get the next steps in the link i posted above.

do this much and tell us the results.
