I have a device running mediatek dm 7050. For some work I need the edl mode, but every time I connect the usb it auto reboots to OS in 5sec. I have tried some solutions for Qualcomm devices including driver signature enable/disable but itr dident wwokr. Please helep

Isn't edl suppose to auto reboot if pc software doesn't recognise the device in edl mode? You mean pc software doesn't recognise it is in edl mode?
The software is detecting the device and it is also shown in device manager com ports but only for 5sec
Have you tried MTK Auth Bypass tool. I had same problem with a poco device. Assuming the correct the drivers are installed try the tool.
Will try

Does Mediatek have a EDL mode, just asking? I thought that was specific to Qualcomm.

I have a device with an old Mediatek chipset and that comes with Preloader and BROM modes. I used those along with mtkclient to unlock the bootloader and root the device, since it doesn't have any official support.

I had to use the SP and USBDk drivers for my device.

Not sure about that, how do we flash firmware in new mediatek dimensity devices?
