^^ AFAIK the above mentioned Decoder cards do not have any onboard memory for skip protection.....
Also, with placing the drive under the seat, it would be too difficult to reach the driver for changing discs.....
One more thing...from past experience....With an in dash player, it is easy to reach out for the controls without taking your eyes off the road....With any additional attachment, it is far too risky to attempt changing tracks etc as you will need to take ur eyes off the road.....
even a minor mishap will set you back by more than the ciost of a decent in dash player
