How will Trumps threat on 100% tariff on BRICS pan out

If there were antivaxxers, those support vaccines can easily post their vaccine supporting stance and discredit deniers, not a big deal.
Oh it a big deal for Mr. J who can't be bothered to do that.

His contribution in any discussion is non existent yet always presumes to dictate what should be said.

He wants others to do the work. And if it isn't to his liking it should be stopped.

By letting these f**king clowns simping for American republicans, you guys are telling us 'its ok to spread debunked horseshit as long as the words used are polite'. What a joke. Not all point, arguments, or opinions are valid. Some don't deserve any platform or response whatsoever. If you let these people fester, sooner or later, most decent people will leave the platform and you'll be left with Trump and Elon's bootlickers.
Uh, this is a topic about Trump. I want people here who either like him or are neutral. He's in charge.

So people knowledgeable about Trump or like him are a problem.

Then the mods are not up to scratch. They should aspire to be like x. Otherwise this place will be doomed.

He acts like he owns this place. He's the director but cannot contribute anything of substance only wants to interfere with others that do so.

The tolerant liberals on reddit just locked the thread on Russia's Anti cancer Vaccine which will be free for all it citizens.

The same tolerant climate liberals vandalized Tesla Germany plant. I am guy who has EV and solar.
What non fake news services do you subscribe to?
If you mean MSM only Firstpost. No western media.

I've explained this numerous times here.

Fit the media to the administration. You want media biased to the government as they have the most access. Understand the intent of people in charge. This way has never let me down. Ever. The usual slam I get is but that is propaganda. Well who else is better qualified then. They never answer this.

Don't mix them. That's when you get confused because then you're listening to the opposition that is attention seeking and will bash everything. Result is you learn nothing. Deal with the opposition only until you properly undestand what the government is doing.

This formula will work with any country that has a free press. If you then compliment it with compatible social media you will know enough to challenge the people of that country without living there or knowing their language.

If the government changes you will have to repeat the process with the new administration. Let go of the old friends and make new ones.

Whether you agree, trust or like the government is irrelevant. What they are doing and how that will affect you is all that matters

I just looked at their rules and it's really strict. Everything not adhering to rules is deleted and locked. If you want TE to be like that we will need 5- 10 full time mods here to police posts. I don't think people are so crazy for modding duties like redditors who like to weld power over people.
That was my example against the point (The best community is where mods are invisible) made. You want another example against that point? 4chan is a community where mods are invisible. Other than illegal content like child pornography, they don't remove anything. Is anyone going to claim that is the best community because mods there are invisible?

Anyway, being extremely strict and saying 'welp we can't do anything' aren't the only two options.

Russia's Anti cancer Vaccine which will be free for all it citizens.
Was wondering about that news. Have to see how effective that treatment is, if worked efficiently, entire world should be thankful to Russia.
One side says 'vaccines are important, climate change is a serious problem', other side says 'vaccines are useless, they cause autism, climate change is a hoax' and you are letting misinformation spread because you're afraid of being biased?
Is such a situation distinctly happening here on TE, or did you find people here more balanced ?
People tend to have own opinions beyond political or ideological hard lines.

For eg., one who is fully supportive of vaccines will be slightly miffed about:
But if one follow HPV vaccine trials in India (connected to his 'charity' foundation?), can they be blamed if felt suspicious ?
Now, if they felt this trial suspicious, but fully support safe vaccines, can one call them antivaxxer or even blame them for being skeptical ?

As far as main topic on tariffs:
Trump threatens tariffs If EU doesn’t buy more US oil and gas

1,500 page bill trimmed 95%

This same bill that was handed to them two days back which they have to vote for.
Lol, that "no aid for farmers or disasters" got me. rofl. Most of the red states are the most affected by disasters like Florida and hurricanes or Texas and snow. And these two states are usually the first to blame the dems for not giving them aid which they didn't pass. What stupid morons the reps have. I guess this time the reps will blame Trump for not giving them any aid after the next disaster strikes.

Ah, even I watch FP on YT along with WION. But i read and watch others too just to see what type of narrative they push forward. Funny thing I've noticed now from past few months is DW pushing an India positive narrative along with Bloomberg. These two channels used to be heavily anti-India and used to trash India every month. Probably Trump effect. They want the Indian market so trying to butter up Indians on YT and make us feel Germany is our friend. lol.

Why would EU buy from USA when Russia & Ukraine are right next door? Plus there's more sources of cheap oil like Iran, SA, Qatar etc. I know US sanctions will not allow them to buy in USD but if they are going to be sanctioned by usa for being with them or not being with them I'm sure they will slowly go away from team america.

Because they have sanctioned themselves from doing so. Instead they will buy gas from tankers coming from the US. The infrastructure to handle this hasn't been built or isn't ready for the scale. Bill to do so will be $100bn

How is German industry going to compete without cheap energy? They will move out and to places where it is cheaper. Over time Germany will be deindustrialised.

Or they could just go back to buying from the Russians.

During the cold war, early 80s under Reagan, the CIA blew up and important pipeline bringing energy from Russia into 'western europe'. The intent was to break the energy dependency of Europe on Russia. A geopolitical liability from an American pov.

You won't believe the reaction? The euros were very upset, set out to repair the damaged pipeline and told Reagan to get lost. By '84 the whitehouse relented.

This was when the Euros had a spine.
Plus there's more sources of cheap oil like Iran, SA, Qatar etc.
Iran is off limits for everyone since the last Trump term.

SA serves Asia already. Qatar is a possibility.

That will take time. It depends how sweet a deal the Americans can offer to offset the transport and degas/gassification infrastructure costs.

To work and be sustainable energy prices have to crash or become lower. But there was resistance from OPEC if you recall ciuple years ago leaving Biden to dip into the strategic reserve to fix inflation.

Republicans will always blame Democrats even though they have nothing to do with any of this. The entire Republican voter base is mentally disabled.

Stringent requirements to qualify and the previous government dragging its feet

Read the article

On Dec. 29, 2022, President Biden signed the Disaster Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, which authorized $3.74 billion for producers who suffered losses to crops, trees, bushes and vines from qualifying causes occurring in calendar year 2022. However, this support covers only 36% of the total uncovered losses farmers faced from major weather events that year, leaving a substantial $6.74 billion gap that has yet to be made whole two years later.
The problem was not enough aid
With $20 billion in uncovered losses accumulated since 2022, farmers and ranchers are calling for timely disaster aid to keep their operations afloat. The financial strain on farmers without this assistance—or when relief arrives two or more years too late, as is often the case—threatens the viability of farms and the rural communities that depend on them. Immediate, comprehensive relief can enable these producers to recover, rebuild and prepare for future challenges.
So how much did they get?

Gives $20B for agricultural disaster assistance-Gives $10B in aid for farmers impacted by the hurricanes
Fixed!

Amazed at how quick he turned this around

Funny thing is even USA does not have the capability to do large scale refining of the grade of oil they get from their country. They use 90pc of their oil and import rest from Canada. They don't have capacity to export gas to EU on the scale EU wants. Russia is now exporting LNG to Italy and Denmark by using uninsured vessels so EU could indirectly get their gas from these countries.

Tweet mentioned not including these disaster aid in the bill or am I reading it wrong? These R's are voting to make it zero I think. Or do you mean to say Trump passed a bill that will give $20B for agricultural disaster assistance and $10B in aid for farmers impacted by the hurricanes?

Or do you mean to say Trump passed a bill that will give $20B for agricultural disaster assistance and $10B in aid for farmers impacted by the hurricanes?

The Continuing Resolution (CR) includes $20.78 billion in disaster aid for farmers hit by everything from hurricanes to wildfires and drought in both 2023 and 2024. It also allocates $10 billion in economic aid to farmers to offset the dramatic decline in farm income, high supply costs and low commodity prices
I'm wondering how he got that done and so fast.

That article was helpful. All yes men in his team so no wonder it will get passed fast. I expect most bills to be passed like this. Everything in their favor or make they seem like heroes will get passed fast.
