Laptops how's dell service for indivisuals in mumbai

Hi All ,

i am planning to buy a Dell 1520 laptop as i need XP on it and not vista. However i wanted to know how's the post sales service in my city , mumbai? Can anyone let me know if it's ok to go for Dell ? i want experiences with Dell laptops , thanks !
 
man .... go for dell......its the best......if u can wait for the 15 days delivary period to get yr hands on the lappy ....nothin else matters....dell rt nowprovides the best service in india n i see no reason y they wud be laggin behind in mumbai.....
 
i have had a bad experience with the pre-sales: order delivery.. i was promised 10-15days but now they are saying itll take more time - 30 days total. im not happy with this. and on top of tht the prices have been reduced by around 5k(2k price cut & around 3k for free processor upgrade being offered on 1420).. im fighting for this price benefit since im getting it so late....

@vee10turbo - I hope you are doing all your fighting via email, there is nothing to fight about actually, simply point out that you needed the lappy in two weeks as per the original order and not in 4. And because of which you have canceled the order and ask for a refund. That is it.

In writing it works best.
 
tell them your order was for delivery in 2 weeks - not four ..and if it were known in advance it was 4 weeks you wouldn't have placed the order. and hint at them deliberately misrepresenting the delivery time just to get your order.
 
yup.... i think dis will work vee10turbo...... u shld sure as hell do dis if they aren;t givin u ny compensation for the delivary lag....n that upgrade.....vaise i donn think yr kinda case gets repeated that often... i mean a new offer comin out is ok.... well feel the same if it comes out the next day after havin brouight som oder company lappy.... one can never be sure....but the dalay......that is bad.....fight yr way man....

i had already sent them a mail saying tht i only placed my order since my rep promised me 10-15 days
delivery time. and tht i will return my order if they dont give me compensation for
the price difference plus d delay... and i was going to speak to tht guy tomrw..

so maybe now ill mail him again and tell him tht i want to cancel my order now tht u have said tht itll
take 30 days and it makes no sense in paying the extra 5k amount and not getting it on or even around
the promised time.

now im seriously thinking of cancelling my order... ive sent them 3 mails about it and they hv only replied once saying that order delivery time is around 30th Dec(double the time that was promised)..
 
after sales service is good...but their sad homo wait times for da laptop is painful...it comes all the way from another planet...y cant they jus speed up da process by having stores or ready customizations or sumtin...or jus hav dem customized in india?????
