HP 1000 Series 1106TU - Good Buy ?

Hi All,

Please let me know, if the HP 1000 Series 1106TU is a good buy for basic home usage - surfing, chatting, video calls, word processing ?

Also, how is the feedback of HP Service at Kolkata ? I had a compaq presario earlier, which broke down in 18 months - taking to the HP Service center they quoted about 12K, and even the guy suggested he can get it repaired outside by 5k !

Also, any reviews on the new Sony 2012 series : Sony VAIO E Series SVE14111ENB

I am looking for a stable product for home usage, and ok to pay about 5K more the Sony ? (Budget - don't want to exceed 30 K)

both are overpriced. check this: Samsung NP300E5Z-A0TIN. decent for 22.7k

or if you are going to sell out 25k+, Samsung NP300E5Z-A07IN

Both the Samsung models you suggested, does not have OS !

I am looking for loaded Windows 7, pref. in 14"

there aren't any 14" with decent spec and W7 preinstalled. The HP you linked to have an underpowered processor and Sony was simply priced way too high.

grab this: Samsung NP300E5A-A08IN1 and drop in 2/4GB ram stick.
