PC Peripherals HP 1007 or Samsung ML1640 - What is recommended?

Hi,
Need to purchase a B/W Laser printer. Usage is not heavy duty. Zeroed in on HP 1007 and Samsung ML1640.

Which one you guys suggest ? Can both be refilled without any issues ?

Or look for the older printer that can take the toner Q2612 or 12A (Same).

But refilling and using the smaller toner of HP1007 is hell. The waste area is small and towards the end of the toner life, you start getting a black border on one side. If you pay Rs 50 to a professional and get the waste area cleared by opening the cartridge, it starts working fine. Moreover it has some useless chip on the toner (I guess to track the usage).
 
what abt the samsung ML1640 guys ? Anyone who has used it can throw some light on the refilling. Samsung one has also got 2 years warranty and a cheaper price.
 
thats why i recommend canon lbp2900,bcause it uses 12a toner.
