Laptops HP extended warranty Price

Hi all,

I want to purchase extended warranty on my HP laptop. Does somebody have any idea about price.
The retailer from which I purchased my laptop quoted 5600 for 2 years extended warranty.
IS the quote good or Is it costly?

It's kinda urgent so pls reply fast if someone has any Idea about the same.

Not exactly if you know how to use it.....

fry your system at the end of the 20 months(couple of months before that warranty get over) so that they have to replace everything... preferably the motherboard...

after 1 year I dont think your current socket mother board will be available so they'll have to replace the mobo and CPU as its under warranty and u'll get a next gen system free of cost...

well this is just theory.. havent practically done anything like this yet...

So You are telling that there's no need to purchase an extended warranty?

Well that was a lot of not-so-good advice.

To OP: the quote is decent, but call HP Support and ask for a quote directly also n verify.

BTW there's one site www.cphp.in (Never Heard of it though. I got some sms from one guy regarding the website.)

Seems like HP's website Itself. Which is providing online purchase of warranty.

Have any idea about that?

And The quote which I got is from the authorized dealer of HP in Hyd. Not from retailer. apology.
 
^^I bought HP care pack(2 years warranty extension) last year for 7000 bucks from hp authorised servcie center in Cochin. So 5600 bucks for 2 years warranty extension is great price if its true.

Havinge extra warranty definitly helps, i changed my MOBO, and GPU once(last june) + 3 times DVD Writer got replaced(faulty lens/laser system).

that is indeed the hp care website. based out of banglore. they need the serial no and product key and based on it they provide quote. i got a quote of 6.6 all inclusive for a compaq laptop which was still in warranty. iball headset free.

5.6 k sound pretty good. i would though check with the site just once to get a idea of there quote
 
I recently got a year warranty for 4.9k so a 2 year warranty for 5.6k is really gr8 go for it... If it is a v3000 series laptop then u will surely need a warranty in due course of time

I got two options for warranty from cphp.in

1) 3 Year RTB SVC Product Description HP Pavilion dv6-1154TX NB PC ALL : For Rs 6618

2) 3 Year 3 BD Onsite Product Description HP Pavilion dv6-1154TX NB PC ALL : For Rs 11.something K

What is RTB SVC here?

BD is business day that I know:P

is ur laptop still under original warranty ? can one take extended warranty once original warranty is over?

Ya my laptop is under original warranty. And I dont know about others but I was told that After purchasing the laptop, one can get extended warranty of 2 years in 5.6K IF the SAME purchased in 120 day. And after 120 days one would get 1 year of extended warranty in Rs 6.something K.

And You can definitely renew/repurchase your warranty once the period is expired.
 
Got a quote of 6.5K as usual now.

When asked why previous quote was 5.6 ...

The answer was "DV6 laptop is coming with GFX and high config. So warranty is costly. Previously it was 5.6 K for DV5 and DV6 series. But now it's raised. "

I wonder that I asked the quote just 2 days before posting here. And In 2 days price is incr++. !!

God knows...

So I asked to HP service and support they also quoted same 6.6 K for 2 years of extended warranty.

So going with this only.
