Hi,

Went looking for a new power adapter when my current one died on me.

Got quotes ranging from 2.2 - 2.6k for a 90w adapter. Is this the proper pricing for an original product, or am I being taken for a ride?

Need to buy one post-haste, but I don't want to make an uninformed purchase.

yes ..HP originals will cost that much... even i got quote for my 65w power adapter price range in between 1600-1850..but compatible adapters will be in between 600-1000(not from HP)...i got mine in that range only..so go as per your budget.
 
Last week my friend bought a 65W original HP adapter for rs 1500 at sp road,bangalore, the 90W adapter will cost more.
