On a side note from reading the whole thread , it all seems assumption from The Seller this happened that happened maybe he updated his bio etc , Firstly I don't think machines automatically update bio anymore they show in their vendor menu like for me it shows in lg menu or for hp in their own app and then they ask for it and even if it does I find it hard to believe that seller never updated bio when he says he's been using it for a while and as soon as
@manohar5321 got it suddenly hp releases a new bio which manohar never saw an intimation of and it started updating ..
Besides this was like maybe 10 years ago bhos update causes issues not anymore , most vendors have recovery button on laptop and recovery image on website, it's upto seller to make it work or refund imo also have known
@manohar5321 for long time and done loads of deals on and off TE never had an issue is a gem of a guy .
Fwiw , 30 day testing warranty means just that , also if bios update could cause such critical issues half the people here let alone non techies novoices wouldn't be getting windows .
Seems simple case of corrupted / broken laptop which was fixed buy buyer and then he tried to pawn it off, it probably was working when he sent it but it was on its last legs due to physical damage etc or maybe the parts moved in shipping, but then he wudnt have been blaming bios or random theoretical issues that might have happened and just refunded .
Also tbh my policy in TE always has been if buyer ever complaints I just refund or take a return regardless that's the values TE is based on and seller should honor his commitment specifically after mentioning ' 30 day testing warranty ' which someone would only mention if there's a chance of failure . I am not saying he did it on purpose but clearly laptop was broken and repaired and probably on its last legs ..
In fact I sold lenovo gaming laptop when I joined TE in perfect condition i remember but after a month although no fault of my own screen had coloring issues he texted me and i paid for it even though I didn't need to..
I remember when I joined TE sold a lenovo legion and it has some screen colloring issue after a month's use and when buyer complained to me i still offered to refund or pay for the issue which I did even though I didn't need to, onus should be on
@ShivamRaj to either get it fixed and refund it whichever way to works .
Besides of it's a bios or ssd issue a techies can sort it in minutes a , if incorrect shutdown caused issues half laptops would be dead.. and frankly all this fans running at full tc has no correlation to bios .
I hope you guys solve it amicably if not my opinion its upto seller to either get it fixed or refund else the whole 30 day warranty Shazam makes no sense, I know people on te who even refund even if there's on issue with a device for example let alone one with dents and stuff.

To be honest I would not have bought a laptop with physical damage. Probooks have reasonably robust chassis and a crack like this means that it has suffered a decent impact at some point in it's life , and is no longer rigid enough to protect the motherboard from flex which will cause hardware damage ( micro fractures in pc traces which cause intermittent failures) I have a work laptop in this shape which will crash or fail to boot randomly if you hold it in one hand.
Agreed, i feel it's the same issue here either was already damaged but working sitting ona table , moved in transportation / courier and went back to its orginal state it wa sin when damaged..
Ugh seems some issues with my phone keyboard nvm..
