HTC Legend Vodafone GPRS woes

I got the HTC legend recently after reading a lot of the reviews from the site.
I wanted to access the android market and gtalk from the phone so i tried enabling Vodafone Mobile Connect ( Vodafone live is only for wap enabled sites )
After much hassle i got it enabled. But still am unable to use it coz the setting for it is not available in my phone.
I tried to do manual setting but i have no idea what to add for 1/2 the values asked by the phone.
I tried to get the settings smsed by sending a message to 52586, but to no luck.
If anyone has faced the same issue and has been able to solve it please help me out.

did you call Vodfaone and ask them to send you the settings specific to your phone or Android.

did you call Vodfaone and ask them to send you the settings specific to your phone or Android.

They have been the least helpful ... the y just said that my mobile is not supported when they couldnt figure out any proper settings. I checked out and the same phone is given out by Vodafone in Europe market. So they should be supporting the phone
