I would suggest wait atleast a monthI am thinking about this phone but will wait 3 months or so before taking the plunge. HTC is also poor with after sales service.
@blr_p What do you think about the price of the phone?
I would suggest wait atleast a month
That's a good point. If u really want it why not buy it.The thing is the HTC One Single Sim version has gone and has not come back. I dont want that to happen with M8 also.

Samsung has become a joke to me.They are overconfident fools. They reduced the price on S5 I think 5-6 times in a month?
It's available everywhere I went in my market.Rajouri garden main market in Delhi. Is HTC following moto's model here. Is m8 only available from select online retailers and not on the street ?
Good idea as this will give HTC enough time to get over manufacturing defects etc. It's a difficult phone to manufacture.I am thinking about this phone but will wait 3 months or so before taking the plunge.
If I had the money I would have gone for z2 but I don't have any moneyhaha, between m8 & the Z2 its a tough choice.
m8 is a foreground shooter, very fast and will get you those impromptu shots, indoors. But its a niche camera. It has the best camera software on android to date. Z2 is more a general shooter but requires skill.
What scares me about the m8 is its predecessor's camera developed banding problems just 6 months or so later due to overheating. Huge thread on xda about it. That gives me pause. Not everybody was affected but it should not have happened.
Since we live in a country with high ambient temperature, custom kernels or the ability to under clock is essential if you want to be doing anything more than talking on the phone outdoors for an extended period of time.
If it is 40k it is a stealRumours are Z2 will start at 45k. it will import around 20k. 3 months later it will drop to 40k.
I've been waiting since last year to get a flagship but the models were each so compelling i could not decide. if i'm going to drop this kind of money on a phone it has to be good for 4 years that way it works out to 10k per year.
Assuming i don't drop the thing in the first week itself
