Already, you violated norms and opened up a phone which you thought may have to be returned to the seller without the seller's permission. When you return an item - you have no right over it - the seller is the owner - and normally people does not tamper with an item which is other's.
Mr.Arup, why are you really taking everything wrong, phone has not been opened up, you can see, opening a phone means a lot. I would never allow anyone to open up my phone. The guy at HTC is my friend, his name is Vijay, I just asked him to diagnose the problem & see if it can be rectified in simple terms of ROM upgrading as I couldn't able to. HTC is having gold card for everyphone which does lots of work even for damaged phones, if you have been using PPC you must be aware of what gold card is all about. It is just another application that allows one to upgrade ROM if everything fails. But he called me up after 2 hours(evening time) that the phone is not even charging up & it has damaged motherboard. Now you tell me where is this issue of phone tampering & opening up a handset lies? You are just not ready to listen as you first thought not to entertain this problem on my part. I again request you be kind enough to empathise a genuine buyer.
This is my right - to get back a item that belong to me in undamaged condition.
You will get it back for sure dont worry about it, I am just asking for a simple commitment that you will give my money back the same day I will send you the phone & you will get it checked from anyone you know same day.
How can I ensure that the is not damaged by some incompetent technician.
The address for HTC shop in Ludhiana is Pearl's palace, ghumar mandi, Ludhiana. Near khalsa college for women. I wish they could have managed to turn it alright, the matter may have not taken this long, I am wasting precious time of mine so is yours, but you are just not coming to a healthy terms of dealing.
If you taken it to HTC service center then I'm O.K with it. But in that case send me a copy of the receipt by HTC service center.
It was on friendly terms, The owner of that service center is Amit, The official guy for HTC is Vijay, former official technician in that center was Sonu Thakur. What else man. Do you need more. There is no receipt of a diagnose work & that even on a friendly terms. But you can see my name on their regiter where they enter the name of handset owner before any handset they keep. They are not even allowed to open or tamper any handset w/o owner's permission, so being a friend I know nothing is possible of this sort tampering.
I'll refund money as promised earlier.
I need to have some time duration, what if you will say its taking a week.

You told earlier that the service center people told you that the motherboard is defective as it has some short and it is there for last 5-6 months. Now you are telling me that that they have not opened it. How can anybody tell such thing without opening it?

I've agreed to refund the money and take back the phone just out of courtesy - you must clearly understand that I'm not bound to make any refund.
I know Mr.Chatterji that you are not bound to make any refund, but I have been requesting a geniune seller & not any petty shopkeeper. We have had a deal on good terms & I would even not mind buying anything from you in future but what you are doing now, must have been done long time before. Saving both of our time.
I am looking forward to the refund. Kindly make it as soon as you get the phone back to your place.
I don't have any issue to make payment to a third party like a Moderator if they agree to be involved in the matter.
I would welcome that step but I am really shocked to see TE response on this whole matter.
My phone is on 24 hours on - if you want to call - call me. But it is better to avoid any phone calls and post it here so that everything gets documented.
Ok as you wish, but it seems you are taking everything wrong in a way as if some crime has happened. I am a buyer who have been pissed off becauuse of this defective device & I am not in a position to spend so much time to rectify it. I informed you on 4th day, but you still think I am wrong.
You decide what to do and send me the phone - I'll make payment accordingly.
I will be sending you the phone most probably todays itself. There are few friends of mine coming from USA, may be I will have to take them to Golden Temple but I will make sure they take time after sunday.
