I'll be buying either HTC Wildfire or LG Optimus one P500. (I was put off by the looks and feel of the Galaxy 3 & X8). Guys, pls suggest which one to go for?

Quality and After Sales: I wanted to go for the P500, but ive heard quality of the phone isnt trustworthy and LG service is bad. Havent heard anything bad about HTC as yet (+1 Wildfire)

Price: But the Wildfire is apprx 15k, so it seems expensive v/s the 11,750 for P500 at Alfa. (+1 P500)

Display: The Wildfire has a smaller scrren size 240 x 320 pixels V/S 320 x 480 pixels of P500. Dont want to worry about pixelated apps, so (+1 for the P500)

UI: (+1) for Wildfire for its HTC Sense UI

RAM: 384 MB RAM Wildfire V/S 170 MB for P500, (+1 Wildfire)

Camera: 5 MP Wildfire (+1) V/S 3.15 MP for P500

CPU: Qualcomm MSM 7225 528 MHz processor for Wildfire V/S 600 MHz processor P500 (+1)

Stand by: Upto 480 h Wildfire V/S Up to 700 h P500 (+1)

Is Wildfire really worth 15k?? And will P500 be trouble free??

+1 for LG Optimus One.

I had went other day to alpha with a friend, and saw the galaxy 3, 5 and the One side by side.

Galaxy 3 is indeed bigger, but Optimus one has more ram, which helps in apps.

Has anyone tried and tested LG touchscreen phones for over a year? The price is quite attractive but I want to know about their dependability. I know atleast 3 people who have got the Wildfire. Haven't heard of anyone with an LG phone, so need reviews.

Go for ZTE Blade from UK, if not concerned about warranty, for the price of just 9-10k all inclusive, its the best android phone under ~18k.

Next choice should be LG Optimus one, the reviews are all good and they sold over a million phones, so it must be good.

^
Price is around 15k, but with a TFT display and only 256mb ram, whereas Blade in UK is 512mb ram and OLED display if you're lucky.

Go for Optimus one rather than Blade from India IMO.

Optimus has 512MB which is way more than the Wildfire. 170MB is internal storage space for ur songs, wallpapers etc...

So +5 for P500 and +2 for Wildfire :P P500 is the best sub-15k Android phone in the market. Add to this that P500 has Froyo out of box and LG has promised a Ginger bread update too :)

Dell XCD35: Price, Reviews: Flipkart Mobiles Rs.15,299 in flipkart. Not worth it IMHO. Even though it higher resolution screen the LG has higher RAM.

Wildfire wins hands down as long as you do not look at it's display :P

only negative which really matters about wildfire is the crappy resolution, everything else can be lived with..ram is not that bad.

ZTE blade looks nothing like a 9k device, screen quality is comparable to samsung wave and dezire, ram is in abundance and the only part one may feel inadequate is the cpu.

there are Overclocked cpu roms, and the reason for little less snappiness is the internal memory, which gets clogged as apps get installed over it on eclairs.. ZTE Blade is due an official froyo release and then it will make a difference.

but as long as we are on this topic, i would suggest you go for optimus one.

bought the P500 for 11,500 + 4 gb micro sd from fine communications (the shop opp alfa). same thing in alfa was for 11,750 + 450! shop guy said anything over 4gb will make the phone slow. all contact are garbled (from my SE w810i) agonizingly boring to transfer.

Wildfire received the Android 2.2 Froyo Update and my cousin who just updated it to Froyo found it to be a lot faster than Eclair (2.1), however with Gingerbread support being confirmed by LG i would seriously suggest buying Optimus One. coz importantly it also comes with Froyo already installed whereas for the wildfire you'll have to manually download it...Go for the Optimus One ;)
