Purchased this modem a couple of days ago from an ebay seller (sm_ashiq). Transaction was done in the 2nd week of this month actually, but the first E176 modem he sent was having a hardware problem, so he sent a replacement modem.
The E176, as many would know, supports 7.2Mbps download speeds and 3.6Mbps upload speeds. It has a provision to attach an external antenna, and also has a microSD slot.

Reason for sale: E176, I understood much later, is not recognized by BSNL network in west zone (as is the case with E1750). The network throws random 619 and 628 errors, but the sim easily connects to the 3G network and also is able to send USSD commands in 3G network. It also works flawlessly with 2G sim cards (checked with Airtel, Idea and Docomo). Google for more info on this error.

Price expected:
* Considering that I got it for Rs.3000, I'm willing to sell it at Rs.2300 with free shipping in case of a sale.
* [STRIKE]Can also trade with a new E122 modem. Place an order on ebay for Rs.2700 with delivery to my address, and I'll ship my modem to your address along with refund of Rs.200.[/STRIKE] No longer applicable. This modem is for sale only.

Other conditions:
* Buyer should be a South zone member or someone who will use the modem with South Zone BSNL networks only. It doesn't work with West Zone BSNL, so members from MP, Maharashtra, Goa and Gujarat - you will be purchasing this at your own risk.

@logisto ---- Did you try out the steps I told ?

Btw just in case you are willing we can trade it with my E122 provided it works here in Bangalore :)

So you can send it to me and in case it works out fine here....I will send out my E122 to you :)...do let me know.

Also usually on Huawei Modems we have the IMEI no on back side----cant see it on this !

^^ Tried out your suggestions. It does not work. Regarding the IMEI, I don't know why, but dc-unlocker / mobile partner identify it. No issues there.

Edit: Modem for sale only. Purchased an E122 from Sunish already.
