Budget plz..........
U should opt from the following :-
4850
9600gt
gts250
Above 3 will be best suited for u.
thanks mate for the reply

but somebody told me the ever green card of all times is 9800GT, is it true ?

I got a GTS 250 and a CM 460W for 9K together. You can spend the extra 1K and get the Corsair VX 450W.

Zotac GTS 250 512MB for around 6800Rs.

XFX GTS 250 512MB for around 7500Rs. Get any both are good. Zotac is bundling a game free though he he just so you know but since you don't play you can give that game to some relative!!!!

@OP:

I am not sure, why people are recommending gaming cards to you. You need a PRO series card, which is meant exclusively for the type of work you do. Please correct me if wrong. You did mention 3D work, and heavy video editing. A gaming card, will do jack-squat for what you plan to do.

This would be better suited...

Leadtek QUADRO FX580 512MB DDR3 @ RS 9123.00

ATI has the FireGL line up. But the cheapest I could find was: Sapphire FireGL V5600 512 MB @ RS 18963, which is out of your budget.

+1

Dont even bother getting gaming cards for Professional work.
Quadro and ATI fireGl are the way to go

If you find Quadro, FireGL expensive, you could also buy a GeForce and soft-mod to run Quadro drivers on GeForce.

Google for more info.

+1. First of all stop recommending gaming cards , You need Only Quadro based Graphic cards for to render the detail through ur Software. I'm not aware of the different quadro models but sure u get good cards at 8k budget. :)

All you n00bs recommending gaming graphics cards for 3D design and those recommending soft mods, STOP RIGHT THERE.

I think u would be better off with more RAM than a graphics card for photoshop.

I have an old 7600GS and even that seems like an overkill to me.

Dude. he clearly mentioned it's for 3D (Maya), Photoshop (2D) and video editing. Please read the post carefully before recommending something.
