31-40k I am in Dilemma! Should I upgrade my Present PC to AMD AM4 or AM5 or Intel LGA 1700 chipsets? Budget is limited to 40k

Okay. Thanks for confirming for my AK400. I am using y splitter and using two 120mm Arctic PWM fans as push pull setup on my 5600x until now. Maybe I will the use the same or the above 3D printed diy 120mm cooler made by another to use on my new AM5 motherboard. I don't know as I have to check that.
I was thinking about any new 27" QHD 180Hz which might come cheap and how about this: https://computechstore.in/product/msi-mag-27cq6f-monitor-black/
It comes under ₹14k and I can just sell my existing 32" QHD 144hz monitor for 14k and buy the above one. It's as simple as that.
What do everybody think about my opinion?
personally, i'm more into ips. used va panel once which gave me nausea with all them ghosting after using it for gaming then sold it off the next day. va panels are best for watching movies with the contrast and deeper black compared to tn or ips. if it's for gaming, even tn panels are better which usually have the lowest gtg response time but the colour and viewing angles leave less to be desired, at least for me. i stick with ips as they have best color accuracy and viewing angles, though slower gtg response compared to tn, it is sufficient for gaming.

If you are going for a va panel, i'd advise a bit of caution as va panels in the more expensive models come with better panels (like the G7/ G9 odyssey etc) while the lower budget ones tend to have ghosting/smearing. The expensive ones do make good work at mitigating it but can still be seen if you are looking for it hard enough. Though i'm talking about my bad experience with va panels, some people also swore by it as a better panel than ips too. Can't just dismiss the experience of others as experience differs from one to another. Maybe you could check it out first if a friend has one.

Absolutely hate those, very bad for fingers.
My fingers are much better once i started using brown mech keyboard ( basic redgear one for now) as it allows one to avoid bottoming out.

Also, I got so used to MX518 shape that i just use 402. Its not the most sturdy, though current one has lasted for few years.
Brown switches are truly the best, This is coming from someone who has had them for 5 years and switched to red switches now. I'm not really enjoying the red switches even though they are lighter to press (being linear switch so obviously they will be). Linear switches are prone to getting bottomed out. I wish someone had told me this. Now I'm stuck with this. Not a world breaking problem but a downgrade is a downgrade. (was a hyperx alloy core FPS brown cherryMX btw)
I have been a G402 user for long time myself but switched to razer basilisk v3 now. Started my serious gaming journey on it and if it had like 20-30g less weight it would have been the best mouse ever. Logitech needs to lower the weight on all their gaming mice. I even thought of doing a DIY weight reduction on the G402 but didn't had the right tools nor the money to buy said tools for it.

It's a VA panel so ghosting (smearing) can be a big issue. It's something that if you didn't notice you wouldn't care but as soon as you did you will notice it everywhere to the point it will annoy you. Not sure where ghosting is prominent so can't say if you will notice it or not.
Why are you getting a 27inch monitor if you already have a 32 inch? Too big? Because if not then there isn't that much difference between 144hz and 180hz as one would think and you said it yourself you don't play competitive games. Might as well skip on a new monitor and get a better one later on for 30k or more. Something like Samsung odyssey G5 Ultrawide.

What is the motivation behind it though ?
144 to 180 is not worth it. And besides even getting 144 consistently is not going to happen easily
I don't like 60 anymore, but 90 + is good. 144 is very good. Beyond this gains are slower, even visually.

I wouldn't bother with this frankly if you dont mind your current monitor. 32 is a good size, and va contrast is better

Shape of this one looks good, does it feel similar to g402 ?
But anyway i like g402 button placement too and use all buttons.
This Razer one has 2 buttons moved to center which i dont like and cannot manage to use in realtime ( same in Mx518).
I guess sensors etc might be better too for razer, but i don't play competitively, so doesn't matter.

It's wider than G402 which I had to get used to because I wasn't able to properly hold it in my hand at first. Always felt like it was slipping away even though it has rubberized grip. Now that some of that grip has been eroded away It's alright I guess. I hold a rather aggressive claw grip and my hands are sweaty acidic type so they melt whichever mouse I use lol. Helped me in this instance but it's a curse.

Absolutely correct about this, they are more of a "press occasionally" type of placement buttons.
Yes sensor is better on this one. Although newer logitech hero 2 sensor might be better than razer's proprietary focus+ but the difference is so minor I doubt anyone can notice it.

Even HDR 10 isn't that much needed right? My monitor doesn't have any HDR. I was primarily looking into 180/185hz & HDR10 in these new monitors that's all. I am thinking by enabling HDR the pictures look vibrant. I don't know for sure since I can't see it in my monitor.

And regarding Wireless KB & Mouse, I primarily use my KB combo for browsing, watching movies, typing emails, excel work and little bit of gaming every day 2-3 hours that's all. For this I think I don't need a mechanical keyboard or a costly mouse.
I also need short cut keys on my keyboard for writing emails and on forums and reddit. This Pebble 2 Combo has many short cut keys that we can use that's why I saw several yt videos and picked it. But TVS Platina Wireless Mechanical KB Combo does not have any kb shortcuts so picked this one instead.

i'm using the previous version of your mentioned monitor (VG271U), the 144hz version, and it does have HDR, hdr400 to be exact. I think your monitor would have HDR too, you might need to enable it from your monitor OSD first, then in windows, then ingame. i use it in some games if the games support hdr, it does make the games look way better.

one thing i'm confused about is you're saying you use a 32" monitor but the model you have put up on the thread says it's a 27" monitor.

Yes I have LG 32GK650F. But I was asking if 27" is enough for me or not since I am using 32" already? Should I buy 32" then I was asking?
My present monitor does not have HDR. See below.

my bad, if that is the case, then no hdr. i was assuming you were using the acer vg271u

EDIT: hdr does give different effect to games if they support it. you cant see effects on screenshots though, has to be seen with eyes to see difference.

So is there any considerable difference with HDR enabled in playing games in HDR monitors?
And some facebook member was quoting 38k for RX7700XT and since I have only a budget of 30k I told him that I can't buy at that price.

HDR is only worth it if its implemented correctly. Most of the cheaper monitors including the Acer VG271U M3 have bad HDR in my opinion.

For a new one right? Cause that's the price it's going for new.

No, HDR doesnt do much on these monitors. Not worth switching. I had tried it too on Acer 27 1440p. Did not get it and turned it off.
HDR needs perfect blacks which plain led ips/va does not do and high peak brightness and contrast. Per pixel control in oled is perfect for it, although brighter scenes are more muted vs miniled.

Just forget about it for now, look at it later. Games are still fun without oled, its just like having an ultra+ setting that makes some great visual difference but its costly and fragile now, wait for it to go mainstream, you will likely get better and cheaper.

My advice - strongly suggest don't bother with this unless you dislike your VA monitor because of VA issues.
Else enjoy its better contrast and black levels. Its a side grade at best with different pros and cons.

yes there is, but only if the games support hdr. for reference, i've played wildlands and breakpoint which support hdr and makes a whole lot of difference visually even with the vg271u. bear in mind the hdr on vg271u is an entry level hdr since the monitor can only go as high as 400nits which is the entry level hdr brightness on a monitor and also as mentioned before hdr400.
The main drawback on using hdr is the monitor has to go full throttle on brightness which kinda heats up the edges of the monitor, which is normal as that's how it works, but it does have an inkling in the back of your head if you could damage your monitor that way and that makes me a bit reluctant sometimes. This is usually a precedent for the cheap monitors. The more expensive monitor would have better implementation.
On the other hand, i've gamed hours on end with hdr playing wildlands and breakpoint but my monitor is still fine today.

Not worth it IMO

It is a VA panel & most VA panels are not as fast as IPS.

If you are able to sell your current monitor at 14k, why not, although no knowledgable buyer will pay more than 10k.

So I will be missing 32" screen space for 27" one for 180hz and HDR10 options. It's better to use it as it is until any problem arises or any good monitor comes for cheap or best prices.

You need FALD LCD or OLED for HDR, everything else is fake. Both my monitors have fake HDR, it is bad (just for marketing). Just continue using your current monitor.

I personally feel 32" is too big, if you have no such issues, why not continue using it?

I don't have any issues at all since I am rarely playing these days. Except on weekends only I play 3 hours on each day. Rest of the days I browse the forums, write emails and make some excel sheets.
While my family even watches some movies together on this 32" screen on Friday nights.
I saw FALD LCD monitors are upwards 30k and more which is out of my budget anyhow.
And thinking about OLEDs nowadays means my wife will kill me or even sell my whole setup to buy a pair of earrings. So won't go that way.
Maybe a year or 2 down the way OLED prices will come down to 25ks around then I might buy them or if any other true HDR monitors comes for good price then I will buy it. Thanks for clearing my doubts.

I'm personally waiting for drop in OLED monitor prices as well. Not all games can be played comfortably in a TV.
