I am a Computer Engg student from Jamia Millia Islamia New Delhi and today i got placed in TCS :) ....

i m feeling really happy.....

Can you please post more details like What was the cutoff!! How many people they selected, out of how many? And what was the selection process!!!

congrats. a TCS job offer really means a job offer - there is some weight behind their word. In other companies ( and I mean top 5 MNC's) , they could throw you out after training for various reasons - lack of requirement, organizational change, management change, they changed their minds... Of course, officially, it will be your fault of course - Didnt score enough marks, didnt pass enough tests, violated some unknown policy... You get the idea.
