Budget 41-50k I want a PC for 4k video editing for around INR 50k. I decided on the components. Can someone please help review it?

I was looking for a forum to ask this but the only place I knew was digit but for some reason, I couldn't register there and so I put up this same question in Reddit(thread) and I got some valuable feedback there. Today I got to know of techenclave and the community looks active and so I thought Ill get some feedback here as well

Would mostly use for content creation. I will be using adobe premiere pro for 4k video editing and audacity for editing audio.I am just a beginner and would mostly be editing videos taken in phones, dslr and gopro.

What is your budget (ballpark is okay)?

The budget would be around Indian Rupee 50000.

In what country are you purchasing your parts? India

Post a draft of your potential build here (specific parts please). Consider formatting your parts list. Don't ask to be spoonfed a build (read the rules!).

Provide any additional details you wish below.

Monitor and keyboard are outside this budget. Right now I have an old one which works fine so I will buy them later. In Amazon India, all of them comes to around 53k. Ignore the small storage as well. I will eventually increase it

I do understand that this might not be the best build for 4k editing but that's all the budget I can allocate now. So any advice to get the best for around this budget would be helpful

  1. I need help reviewing the parts and its compatibility and a GPU suggestion as the CPU doesn't come with an integrated GPU. I won't be using it for any gaming and I read adobe doesn't utilize GPU.
  2. I would really appreciate it if someone could tell me where to find the best price for these. I already saw some price difference when comparing amazon with 'mdcomputer', 'primeabgb', 'vedantcomputer' etc. I stay in Chennai, so if someone can guide to a local dealer that is trustworthy and has good price, that would be great. I saw this site 'theitdepot' which also seemed good
Update 8/11/2020
First of all, thank you all for your advice. I have been receiving a more positive response here than in Reddit. A very helpful community you have here. From the feedback, this is the latest list I have right now. Almost all parts are confirmed. I just have to find a good used card here in the forum and I think we should be good. Putting up the list here hoping it will be of use to someone in similar situation

4k in 50K budget !.
Once in a while 4k editing will be fine but for professional work your budget is way too low
I totally agree but I'm just starting and that's the budget I have for now. I read about most of the hardware and setup seems solid for the price. I am however confused about the gpu to use.
I've heard Adobe premier doesn't take advantage of gpu but at the same time the ryzen processor I am using won't come with integrated gpu. So I have to pick one

for your budget Rx580 is atleast needed for video edit, and running adobe app though there will be delay in timeline preview 4k so best you can do is create proxy , power supply atleast 700/750 is preffered , look for a dual channel RAM and a room to upgrade to 32gb in future atleast for 4k render, for the storage consider the Adata 512gb A2000 for 5000 bucks to have a head room for cache and 4k/1080p workflow

for the purchase all your vendor consideration are perfect so go with the ones where you can save each buck.

Frankly I think you need to increase your budget to at-least 1L
:(
I don't have that much money to put in right now. If I have to go with this, what do you think would be a good graphic card? Premiere pro doesn't use any gpu from what I got to know. So I most probably just need one for the OS and basic apps to work fine

Have you considered buying the parts used? You'd be able to save quite a bit, I think, and might be able to fit RAM and storage upgrades into the budget. It's a bit of a risk, but it's better than spending the money on components that are either poorly matched to each other or to your use case.

Just my 2 cents.

Edit: Like others mentioned, 256GB isn't anywhere near enough for 4K editing.

Thanks for the advice calvin1719. Can you tell me which components are not matching?

Thank you @shhbz . I will take a look at the graphic card. Can you tell me why 700 watts supply is needed?

Just to reiterate. I understand this budget might not be enough for a proper 4k editing machine but this is the best I can do now. I was actually looking for a laptop but then decided against it so that I can expand/upgrade later as I get some more money to invest here.
  • I understand the storage I mentioned above is less but I have 1TB HDD already with me and I have a bunch of portable HDDs as well. Also, I am editing as a hobby now. So I don't have a lot of content hanging around. I will mostly be working on one project at a time and once done, I would upload the video or move everything to the cloud or portable HDD
  • I will get 2x8GB RAM and then maybe get two more 8GB cards making a total of 32GB. Does that make sense?
  • I will not be playing any game at all. So graphic card right now would be needed to just boot up the OS. I read 2GB graphic card, RX550 or GT1030 should be enough for adobe. Again, next year or so, if I end up editing, even more, I can upgrade hardware as needed.

@aswinrulez for the graphic card you can look for many on sale option if you can grab any for 8k as now the price has taken a rise, for PSU i recommend 650/750 as there will be headroom for future updates if liquid cooler, ssd, fans, additional stuff added and then since editing work is quite power hungry it will push your built to max limits at times to run fine with the graphic card so a better power source will ensure better stability. Look for options to save at places as PSU can be avail for sale on forum and major comes with 5 years warranty so if you even get a good deal for 3year warranty left its a win-win and you save money to reach your goal to build a decent pc

Thank you so much. I will definitely look into your advice. Do you think a 2GB GPU would do?

Bro,
you need a good graphic card. 4k video editing.
I would highly suggest getting 1650 Super(Also this is not a power hog, your existing psu will do fine)

If you do not want to buy a graphic card then instead of 5600, see how the renoir APUs are doing for 4k video editing. But they are not available to buy independently yet.

I edit sony a6400 4k 60 Mbps footage on final cut pro with my 10 year old core i7 860, RX570 computer. I Create optimized media or proxy if I want smoother playback. for most part it is ok!
I do not know what software you use for editing but if you are using final cut, I recommend you add an AMD based card like an RX570 to the build so that you can build a hackintosh. If you use any other software, Nvidia 1060 can be found for cheap on the used market or you can go for a brand new Nvidia 1650, 1650 super etc.

I use adobe premiere pro. Even I was editing in my 10-year-old asus ROG laptop till now. What is your GPU memory?

This looks like a good deal

My RX570 has 4GB RAM. If you are going to use adobe premiere pro, then go for Nvidia cards because I think they recently implemented use of Nvidia NVENC encoder which greatly reduces export times.
Oh and I thought they dont use it at all. I will read about it as well. Will there be any compatibility issue with the motherboard which I am planning to get?

Edit:
Just read the news. This is super useful info. Thanks a lot!

Any graphics card will work with your motherboard

The best I could find
