i want to buy dead western digital harddisk the physical condition should be clean no scratches and no dents

I have a "dead" WD Element 250GB. I don't know how it died. scumbag borrowed it and returned it dead. Since i have some important files in it i want to know how to revive it if possible.
 
I have Wd external my book essential usb 3.0 casing only.
