I was wondering which car to chose from?
SHud i go for I10 Magna or Swift Lxi?
I want to decide only between these 2.
So please do not suggest me any other car.

So guys start shooting. :hap2:

if the running is high, get Swift VDi diesel model.. 22kmpl avg!! ive driven it and it has awesome pickup! feels like 1.6+ engine when u drive :)

i would prefer Swift over I10 because i personally dont like build quality and design of Hyundai..

you need to tell the following points before any suggestion is made

1. monthy run

2. city/highway driving

3., your priorties like mileage/a.s.s/maintenance costs

btw the maruti has stopped the petrol swift production partly as they are going to fit in the new BS IV engine into it and launching after few months and partly they want to push the sales of Ritz.

if petrol then i10 magna as the build is better , good interiors, spacious than swift

if diesel then swift!!!

depends on ur monthly running

was in the same dilemma a year before whether to get i10 or swift,

finally bought the i10 magna

its been a year and its only 5000k on board,

as my driving is way too less mainly city driving!!

look at ur monthly driving and decide accordingly as both cars r good in their own right!!

It will be mainly in the city.
Highyways will also be invloved, but not more than say 80 km/day.

Monthly run will be around 500-600 km.
I also want the car with less maintenance costs.
Also how i want the car with more comfort and more space.

We have an Chevrolet Aveo at present. I test drove the I10 yesterday. Felt good. It had spacious interiors. But the Back seat comfort was not that good as the Aveo. I will be test driving the Swift today.
Good thing about I10 is it is a newer model compared to Swift, which has become quite old now.

If you are looking at low maintainence costs, the Suzuki will be slightly lower than the Hyundai. Even otherwise, I don't think it shall be much of a difference ( i myself have a Santro).

Yes, the swift looks very very common but having driven it, I simply loved the Esteem Engine under the boot...

if u didnt like the rear space and comfort of i10 , then forget abt swift, its pathetic in a swift!!

i think for 500-1000 kms / month , a petrol will suit u the most.

maintennance for both maruti and hyundai cars is almost same,

easy availability of spares and both r less costly

and so as u said as swift is very old, i think go for i10.

i have been driving i10 for over a year now, very refined car i wud say!!

I went for a test drive of Swift today. I kind of liked it. It gave a big car feel.

Rear seat comfort of I10 and Swift was almost the same.

Interior cud have been better.

I was kind of inclined to Swift after seeing it, so i went for it.

We went for the Swift Vxi model.

The leg space was good in the back seat too.

The delivery will happen within 3 weeks.

RITZ looked like s#*t, so it was out of the question.

But how is Swift compared to RITZ, performance wise.
The RITZ has a radical look, just like when the Wagon R was launched.
But it has the K-Series ka Engine.
And heard that the Swift will also be fitted with the new K-series engine.
When would that happen?

Well you test drove swift, now try ritz also, Frankly u get used to the design in a few days, and in some colours, the car looks really great..glistening grey, then theres a chocolate colour..You have to see it actually to appreciate it, swift is good too, the white looks awesome..

My first impression of Ritz was that it was one fu5ly car, but the other day I saw a chocolate colored Ritz with shades and it looked quite good.

I find the i10 delicate dunno why :S am also looking at a Swift down the line maybe after it gets the K engine.. :)
