i completely agree with you sir amey .....

Its just my personal opinion.. and thats why i would pay the extra amount.

I like having all these values known to me.. im OCD ... lol lol

And yes sir i do have LLC enabled.. Those values i said were with LLC enabled.

Not saying everyone has to..

The ud5 is a is a very good board . And i have absolutely nothing against it. Infact i like it a lot ....:) Built Very very well too.. So cant fault it there...:)

The RIIE and the classified are aimed at the OC community. Very little use for them outside of that....

True the workstation boards are more expensive.. and the law of diminishing returns no doubt applies Heavily here .. thats why i said if Possible :)

cheers sir amey and thank you for clearing that up :)

Thanks for the inputs Toolius.

Amey - I had thought about the Asus P6T7 WS and WS Super Computer. Do not really think I would ever need all the features on the Super Comp.

The Classified is a good option too. It should be about a couple of thousand more than the Rampage. The options available are plenty but trying to figure out a long term solution.

The UD5 seems like a good option but I do wish they had couple of non-engineering design guys that were not color blind....(OK it is definately better looking than their earlier offerings).

Not that I am a UD5 fanboy or anything but I sincerely feel that UD5 is a good VFM option for someone who wants to use the PC for basic stuff and gaming and moderate OCing.
R2E,Classified are good boards,no doubt but does it make sense to have all the OC centric features for someone who isnt going to make use of half of them ? I dont think so.
Just my personal opinion though.

Trust me, the build quality of Gigabyte is really very good. Not that Asus is bad but Asus has really gone down in terms of build quality for their mainstream, low end boards for sure. So I would think twice before buying an Asus board in the future (Not the ROG series)

What's the computer going to be used for btw?

Will be using for a couple of things -

1. Gaming.
2. Virtual Networking - Couple of VMs and maybe virtual router creation
3. Some overclocking

It may also be used for designing. Both Photoshop and Corel Artwork.

Hello sir :)

In that case the RIIE and Classified are really of no use sir ..

the UD5 is more than enough for all of the above. no real point in spending that extra $$ on the rIIe and classified ..

Truly will do everything you need !! :)

Cheers sir..!!

LOL :)

hello again sir..

i still stick with my suggestion.. get the ud5.

It overclocks very well too.. have my 920 D0 up to 4.3Ghz on the Ud5..

Cheers sir :)
