Hello Friends,

While searching for good Speaker set with Digital FM Tuner with Remote & USB, I come across iBall Tarang 2.1, how good is this, any experience &/or review?

Also feel free to suggest any other (with above requirements) Good Setup up to 2.5k

Thanks.

There is one more model which is also named tarang but without USB and FM. And that costs only half the price of this model. IMO i feel that you can opt for that model because the USB/fm model can be operated only with remote control for most of the functions. So if the RC goes kaput by the time when it becomes EOL then i dont know what can be done with it.

Even specification wise the normal one is better. But looks, RC, USB and FM are the highlights with the model which you intend to buy. Now its upto you to decide...

Sometime back i visited the service centre and trialled the normal one. Beleive me , the build quality of the woofer is excellent with good bass. But the speaker is not upto the mark but still far better than the currently existing creative ones which distorts more. If you have a good set of speakers (compatible with the output range of the woofer) then this unit cannot be beated even by the higher end 2.1s for sure...

I second what anfjavid said.
The woofer is one of the best I've heard and its surprisingly cheap ~1.5K (for the non-FM, 3.5mm version).
If you're into Electronic/Pop/R&B it'll suffice and beats similar priced Altec lansing/Creative products.
I feel it lacks detail and Metal/Acoustic/Classical songs sounds 'muddy'. But as pointed out, if you own a decent pair of compatible speakers to pair with its woofer you'd get a really good setup.

do you mean if Remote Control went kaput than one not operate the FM/USB functions using Control Panel/Button on Woofer? There is 5 Switches (as per image) on woofer what are they use for?

Sorry mate, the one which i was talking about is the FM version which is lower in specs and has RC. The other is the USB version and it doesnt come with RC...

Guys please tell me if the USB version is better than the normal version .....
