O.K , i was on the look-out for a new monitor for my rig , and i got a quote from a Dell contact i had , and i got some great quotes for my requirements as well as some that others had asked me to find.

Just a note, this is not a deal like the others i conduct here, this is a non-profit GO , so please don't PM me asking to lower the prices.

Warranty and Billing :

These monitors carry 3 Years warranty. I know the others are offering 5 Years here, but i cud not get a gud deal for the 5 Years part. For me, 3 Years is more than enough at the moment.

Billing will be at the moment in either my name, or in my contacts name. The warranty is claimed on the Order No. or the Serial No. of the product , for which no proof of ownership is required (Bill ie). The product can be registered in the customers name for the availing of warranty by the customer itself. This will be done on the receipt of the LCD , so the customer doesnt have to run around here and there for warranty claims.

Payment:

All payments are in 100% advance, and should be made to my account either via Online TRansfer to my HDFC account , Cash Deposit to the same , or via Cheque/DD.



Delivery

Mostly i'll be using BlueDart Dart Surfaceline(Surface Express) as that i believe is turning out to be the cheapest and the safest option as of now.

Typical Charge turns out to be around Rs 300 for a Mumbai to Delhi Shipping inc all of their charges. Rest can be calculated on their afore mentioned website. The monitors will be ordered on receipt of the payment , and it takes around 7 working days to reach me. After this , ill be shipping the monitor out to you address, which takes 4-7 working days.

Navi Mumbai , Mumbai guys can opt a pickup from my address only in Nerul. I will not be carrying them to wadala.

For people who are worried about warranty , i have got quotes from another Dell Rep

No Quantity Limit as of now, but will process them slowly , as else might be a problem for me.
 
Billing will be at the moment in either my name, or ain my contacts name. The bill can later be transferred using the Ownership Transfer option available in Dell without any Hitches.

FYI, the ownership cannot be transferred only for LCD monitors unless it is attached to a system. Ownership transfer is applicable only to complete systems (Dell laptops, desktops)
 
Yep , same , true , i got it confirmed too , i had misunderstood wat the guy had said...lol, thanx dingemini and SS , u saved me frm a sure beating here....edited the things there....
 
just added 2 laptop quotes he had sent me , these are pre defined laptops, was told the discount will be more if the config is more highend

Guys , will be ordering my LCD first , as this is my first LCD GO , and i wanna test things out before i take up responsibility for others......will be ordring 2moro , so keep your Fingers Crossed :D

1. price of e248 wfp.
2. Bill/warranty issue for others name in bill
3. AFAIK dell insures while they ship. Since you are reshipping the actual price and insurance stuff for shipping.
coz the site gives the following message for surface line

The Final Delivery cost ill be able to giv u guys in a day or twos time, also ill be insuring the product for freight, which i guess will be included in the shipping charge....You can then decide whether the price comes out to be good enuff :D

Oh k u edited the billing/warranty details .. didnt see that :ashamed: but please tell abt 1 & 3 when possible.. I am eying on the e2408 too :bleh:
 
anybody tried registering their LCD`s @ DELL india website.
it never accepted my serial number ie behind the LCD.
hence AFAIK LCD`s cant be registered @ DELL website on anyone`s Name.

although the site has gone thru upgradation in last 2 days.
i wud ask one my LCD buyers to try and register their`s.

when asked from DELL Customer rep they said its not for LCD`s
 
Yes, i think it will be done by the Dell guy only, i know its an extra thing you need to do, but if you guys wanna save money , its good, at least me doin it. Else dingemini312 is always there.:D

Is registering needed for warranty stuff.. Isnt the LCD serial number alone not enough as Phoenix mentioned? please shed light :)
